  • How do I create a counting variable based on another column & transpose a table?

Hi all,I'd appreciate help with reformatting a clinical dataset. It records ~50 variables for multiple patients on multiple visits. So there are ~51 columns with one being an MRN or record number per patient. There are typically 6-7 rows of data per patient/MRN to report on variables taken at different visits. So 2 questions: 1)How can I generate a new incremental count variable that counts number...

  • check if data exist in another table

Hi, I have 2 tables A and B, each has a column "email" and "id". I want to add a new column in table A, if that row has "the same email OR same id" showing up in table B, then "YES", if no then empty. Could someone help me how to write this script?  Thank you.

  • GraphBuilder > FrameBox << Add Graphics Script (V Line (x,y1,y2)): dynamically assign x, y1, and y2?

Hi JMP Community, It's my turn to be stumped by an apparently trivial project. I'm trying to dynamically add V Lines to a Graph Builder plot and I'm getting rather unexpected results with the test script below: Names Default to Here (1); dt = New Table ("TEST", New Column ("X", Set Values ([1,2,3,4,5])), New Column ("Y", Set Values ([3,2,5,8,6])) ); gb = dt << Graph Builder( Fit to Wind...

  • BMI percentile calculations

For patients < 18 years of age, their obesity is determined by age, gender specific BMI percentiles . CDC had codes to do this in SAS https://www.cdc.gov/nccdphp/dnpao/growthcharts/resources/sas.htm I am wondering if this is possible to do this in JMP. I currently have to depend on a SAS user to do this for me..

  • Predicting Rainy Days

Hi all! I'm wondering if JMP can help with spot a pattern in the days leading up to rain. If I have years of historical daily (even hourly) environmental data which includes temperature, humidity, pollution, etc, would JMP be able to help spot a pattern leading up to rainy days? If so, what type of analysis would be best suited for a study like this? The "sequential" element is tricky to me, as I'...

  • Sequentially exclude rows?

Hi.  Is there a command to exclude rows that doesn't also unexclude previously excluded rows?  In my script, I'd like to exclude rows in a table that already may have some of these rows excluded.  The problem is that if I use Exclude, it may actually Unexclude previously excluded rows.  For example:Names Default To Here(1); dt = Open("$SAMPLE_DATA/Big Class.jmp"); dt << Clear Row States; r = dt <<...
