  • Using JMP 16 to build a predictive model

Hi everyone,I am a PhD student.   One of my research plans is to build a predictive model for erosion rate. Erosion rate is the dependent variable and (the impact angle, impact velocity, solid content, material hardness, and particle diameter) are the independent variables. I just installed JMP 16, and I do not have that much experience with it. I am asking if it is possible to use this software t...

  • Linear discriminant analysis function output?

I ran a linear discriminant analysis model on my data, and I'm trying to find the linear discriminant functions for each of my 3 categories. I want a predictive equation for each category, but I can't find that. Does JMP provide those equations in its analysis report & I'm just missing it?

  • Can I add one Ordinal and one Nominal (Columns) to a Multiple Linear Regression model?

First I don't know if this question is logical to you, but i am trying to analyse a datasheet and there is one Nominal columns and one Ordinal. I have done one Multiple Linear Regression with only one Nominal columns, but i dont know if things change if i add another Ordinal columns?

  • compare results

    Hello,
How can I perform a statistical test in JMP to ensure that the results obtained from different classification methods are not due to randomness after obtaining various results?

  • How do I save the output report statistics of Neural predictive model performance? because they change every time I open the neural report.

I know that I can save the formula to predict the responses but to evaluate the model I need to keep the model statistics, and it changes every time I open the neural report. If someone can provide me with some guidance, I need to be able to open the neural report more than just once.

  • Mixture design with special constraints

    Good morning,

The aim is to test mixtures of components to target a continuous variable Z.

To achieve this, the blend must contain one (and only one) component from each of the following familly (these categories are made up of components with similar characteristics), plus glycerine (systematically):
    Family 1: A, B
    Family 2: C, D
    Family 3: E, F, G, H, I, J
    Family 4: glycerine

    Two intermediate continuous...

Hi,  I have a multinomial logistic regression of 3 classes: 0, 1, and 2 and have associated individual models (via Fit Y by X) for N parameters. I am now looking into a sensitivity like study in which each parameter is assumed at certain levels (e.g. at min, max etc..). I have probabilities computed at each such parameter level. I like to rank order probability change in each class (0, 1 and 2) du...
