  • Stability prediction headache

Hello, I have an analysis problem I'd like some advice on. Below is a table of some real stability data- from which I'm trying to extract a reasonable stability prediction. I usually use the degradation profiler for this, and have done up until now without any issue for multiple other projects - but this dataset is causing me a headache; I believe it's because we had an anomalously low T0 which sk...

  • Predictor Screening Question

Just a general question - for the Predictor Screening Platform, if you're trying to find variables related to a particular Response Output (say product Yield) - would you ever bring in another response variable & add it to the "X" box - like "impurity" or something along those lines? Or should you only be bringing in explanatory variables in that "X" box?

  • SAMPLE SIZE DETERMINATION

Hi,I was wondering if there is a way to determine the sample size as a function of %CV (Coefficient of Variation) by using JMP 17.

  • Model screening vs Model Comparison

I aggregated data from various DoEs into a single data matrix table. Now, I'm trying to select the best predictive model to fit my data.Which jmp platform is the best? Should I use model comparison or model screening? I'm not sure which platform suits my purpose and my data. Is there literature or a webinar I can use to understand the main differences between the two platforms? Thank you so much.

  • Exporting full LCA dataset to CSV/Excel

I conducted an LCA analysis on survey questions. In the "parameter estimates" section of the generated report, there is a table. When I export it, it doesn't export the merged cells on top. For example:

Cluster 1:  [Top Column: State]                   [AZ] [VA], [DC], [TX] It only exports the cluster, and the parameter estimates for [AZ] [VA], [DC], [TX]. I want to export every visible thing, incl...

  • power and sample size calculation in JMP

I'm trying to determine the sample size using one sample mean. The Std. Deviation from the historical study is 5.8E+8 and I don't know how to use it in that platform as the one sample mean has a Std. Deviation limit of 200,000. Any idea how to overcome this issue? Is it possible to use CV in the calculator?

  • help with model comparsion: DOE vs ANN boosted

Good morning guys! 1) I have a DOE and some boosted neural network models that I would like to compare their respective Rsquared (largest), RASE (smallest) and AAE (smallest) to select the best optimized models from my experiments. I saw that in the "Model Comparison" tool, through the predictive formulas saved in the experiment spreadsheet, I can make the selection according to the criteria above...

  • Could JMP optimize factors with uncertainty?

Hello community!!,A question: will it be possible for the profiler to find the best combinations of factors with uncertainty when performing a simulation, which maximize the total utility and minimize the total cost, generating a table of the best combinations found? For example:

  • Caution: Places where Jmp does something unexpected

Definitely, JMP is Not a Spreadsheet . And that's great!! Besides this difference, there are other places where Jmp doesn't do/behave/produce what a newbie / innocent Jmp user expects.
If a user knows these issues and the remedies and workarounds -  he/she can
    a) save a lot of time b) be safe from data loss c) be sure that the results are as expected.

  • Nested Cross-Validation Script?

Hello, how can I apply nested cross-validation outside of the model screening platform? I would strongly suggest to extend the Make-Validation-Column Section by an option to automate nested cross validation for all predictive models. It would be cool to just select a validation column (or 2 validation columns) for nested cross-validation. In the meantime, could you please provide me with an exampl...

  • SIMCA classification method: what alternative options do I have in JMP and what are the pros/cons?

Hello, I am after a combination of guidance and education. I have recently come across SIMCA as a classification approach. I believe this is not something JMP can address at the moment so my question is, which alternative options can I explore to achieve a similar goal and what would be the advantages/disadvantages when compared to the SIMCA method?  I am currently using JMP 17 Thank you very much...
