  • help with model comparsion: DOE vs ANN boosted

Good morning guys! 1) I have a DOE and some boosted neural network models that I would like to compare their respective Rsquared (largest), RASE (smallest) and AAE (smallest) to select the best optimized models from my experiments. I saw that in the "Model Comparison" tool, through the predictive formulas saved in the experiment spreadsheet, I can make the selection according to the criteria above...

  • Working with Imputed Data in JMP - Elastic Net

    Hi Everyone,

I am working with a dataset that went through multiple imputation in stata. I am trying to do elastic net regression on the data set in JMP because Stata does not seem to support elastic net in it's multiple imputation estimate command.

I was wondering, does JMP have any way of identifying the data as MI data, or does it even matter? The mi estimate command in stata conducts a combined...

  • Undersampling, Oversampling, and weighing

How can I populate my data so I only get undersampling sampling technique without modeling. I need to do the same for oversampling and weighing. I am trying to run xgboost with these three sampling techniques (one at a time of course). So, I need one dataset that shows undersampling, a different dataset for oversampling, and a third dataset for weighing. Thank you.

  • Add Random Seed to prediction formula

I would like make a reproducible simulation formula by adding a the same random number to a prediction formula .Guess this is possible with Random seed? I olnly find a very brief explanation in JMP help; how to add this random seed to a formula?

  • Difference between nodes in same layer of neural network?

I am currently in the process of wrapping up the final practices of 7.3 Neural Networks in the Predictive Modeling and Text Mining module in the JMP STIPS course. Fitting a neural network and understanding the basic function of a node in the hidden layer as a regression model appears intuitively easy. Yet, I am wondering whether and hoping that someone with more insight in the community could prov...

  • How do I use the integrate function with a predictive formula generated from a raw data set

    Hello!

I'm attempting to find the area under a curve of a data set between specific time intervals (x-axis). I have taken the raw data which was analyte concentration (y) across time (x) and ran it through a fit curve model that generated a predicted equation that fits the raw data with R^2 =0.95.

I'm a bit confused of my next step, I've tried to plug the equation in as a formula in a new column and...

  • How to optimize factors with uncertainty in 1 step with JMP?

Hello community!!,A question: will it be possible for the profiler to find the best combinations of factors with uncertainty when performing a simulation, which maximize the total utility and minimize the total cost, generating a table of the best combinations found? For example:

  • Caution: Places where Jmp does something unexpected

Definitely, JMP is Not a Spreadsheet . And that's great!! Besides this difference, there are other places where Jmp doesn't do/behave/produce what a newbie / innocent Jmp user expects.
If a user knows these issues and the remedies and workarounds -  he/she can
    a) save a lot of time b) be safe from data loss c) be sure that the results are as expected.

  • Nested Cross-Validation Script?

Hello, how can I apply nested cross-validation outside of the model screening platform? I would strongly suggest to extend the Make-Validation-Column Section by an option to automate nested cross validation for all predictive models. It would be cool to just select a validation column (or 2 validation columns) for nested cross-validation. In the meantime, could you please provide me with an exampl...

  • SIMCA classification method: what alternative options do I have in JMP and what are the pros/cons?

Hello, I am after a combination of guidance and education. I have recently come across SIMCA as a classification approach. I believe this is not something JMP can address at the moment so my question is, which alternative options can I explore to achieve a similar goal and what would be the advantages/disadvantages when compared to the SIMCA method?  I am currently using JMP 17 Thank you very much...
