  • Regression Covariables

Quick question. I am using a Cox regression model and was wondering if I could include variables that are dependent upon each other in the same model. For example, would adding height, weight, and BMI as covariables affect the model, given that BMI is directly dependent upon height and weight? Another example, in transplant studies I want to know how gender affects survival. So I use both recipien...

  • Cox Regression variable selection

Hello everyone, is there a way to select variables for Cox regression using a stepwise model in JMP? The stepwise regression model from the Fit Model only has a "Y" category, whereas for Cox-regression I would imagine that in order to choose the best variables I would need an option to add both a "Y" category (event), as well as an "X" category (Time to event)? If not would I put the event in for ...

  • How to make Dynamic Process Screening & Manage Spec Limits

Hello Everyone,  I am trying to build a dynamic work flow that will allow me to always save my spec limits using the manage spec limits and then using the process screening option. This work flow will have a different amount of columns each week. I tried to include all of the column names in and it worked until the next week where one or more of those columns are not there in the data table and it...

  • predcition formula into excel

Hello, I want to use a predcition formula form a least square prediction model generated in JMPpro to be saved in and excel database so that non-JMP users would able to use the prediction formula. It seems that I can save the formula in several formats but not in excel format. Any suggestion? regards Lu

  • If a column contains "%"--> how can I use this type for a formula? i.e. if states "%" do formula, otherwise use a number from another column?

I'm struggling. I have a column which contains either %, /nl or 10^9 as a outcome. the linked numbers in another column have to be converted depending on these expressions. How should I use the column properties and which comparison or expression in the formula should I use? Most use a numerical part for this, but I need now the characters. if --> % than calculate number *100, if not do xxx

  • What does it mean when the solution path for Elastic Net is not single-valued?

Dear JMP Community,   (W10, 64-bit, JMP Pro 15.2.1)   I am running a model to assess the active predictors. I am doing this by using the Autovalidation add-in to generate a Null Factor for my data. I then use the GenReg platform to find estimates for each possible X-factor and then Bootstrap those estimates to get a better assessment of the contributions to the response. I came across a very stran...
