  • DoE Optimise a ratio of two factors

I currently have a material made using 100% of expensive factor A. I want to replace some of A with cheaper factor B but I'm not sure what the optimal ratio would be to achieve the same performance when using 100% of factor A. I believe I need a minimum of 50% factor A.  How could I design a series of experiments using JMP (pro 18) that try to optimise this ratio so I can remove most of the expens...

  • How to parse Design Role property with a script

I need to be able to identify which columns in a DOE data table are factors. I know there is a design role column property.column(dtDOE, 1) << get property("Design Role");The problem is that the return value seems to be an unevaluated expression.DesignRole( Continuous )Is Missing doesn't work in this context, but even if it did, I want to exclude blocking factors, so I need to somehow parse this t...

  • How do i design my experiments for optimization with CCD when i have lot of data?

Hi guys, I am new to JMP and I am doing my Masters thesis on membrane filtration. I am trying to optimize and design a process. I screened several membranes for microfiltration (MF), ultrafiltration (UF) and nanofiltration (NF) and have lots of preliminary data. I decided to go for RSM-CCD as I saw in lots of research papers using it but i dont know how to approach it in JMP pro. I am trying to co...

  • Can't implement replicate runs with JMP Pro 18

Hi, I am new to JMP Pro 18 and am finding that I can't seem to get repeated runs on my design of experiments. I am using I-optimal for RSM and am trying to add replicate runs of 3 or 2 but then when I create a table of the design of experiment I only get one column for the response and not three. Please can someone help me fix this? Kind regards, Jasim

  • Deal with hierachical (nested) factors in DOE custom design platorm

Hello,I'm trying to build a design using the DOE custom design platform. I have three categorical factors (G, L, and Z) to consider, with one nested within another. Ultimately, the model I want to run is Y = G + L[Z] + Z + e. However, my primary goal is to ensure that the number of replications of G is balanced within Z, and that the number of runs is balanced across my L factor.By using the "Di...

  • Sample size for Reliability Life Test

I have used the interval explorer for parametric reliability life test planning for sample size calculation of accelerated life test. Please can someone confirm if the sample size returned is the total sample size or sample size per stress levels? Assuming I have 3 temperature levels, do I use 75 samples per temperature level or 25?

  • help to get R squared predicted

Hello!I installed a script from a community response regarding the calculation of R²pred, as shown in the image below (I'm using JMP 18 pro): (link da resposta do @erich_gundlach https://community.jmp.com/t5/JMP-Add-Ins/Predicted-R-square-calculator/ta-p/39927)  In PRESS, R²pred didn't appear. (Press is low because I haven't reduced the model yet, don't worry =))  I really need to show these R²pre...

Is the Weibull alpha the characteristic life at stress or at use life? 2. Is the Quantile the pFail at stress or use life and how does the quantile impact the required sample size?3. Is the calculated...

  • How do I replace a prediction expression in a fit model with a specific expression?

Hi, I am completing a DOE and I have ran a fit model using the JMP software to define a design space based on desirability of certain variables, however one of the desirability variables is a simple ratio of two of the construct model effects, however when running the model, the model is defining its own prediction expression for this variable rather than using the formula in the data table. Does ...

  • How does AICc criterion and Combined rules interact in Stepwise Fit Platform?

As an entry-level user of JMP but with a bit of statistical knowledge. I encountered with a problem when trying to use the stepwise fit platform to develope a regression model for my DoE dataset.

I read the JMP help book and understand how combined rule applied to p-value based stepwise regression (a joint F-test and another partial F-test of interaction effect when added precedent main effects). ...
