How to create mixture DOEs with several ingredient groups?
I am struggling with a complicated mixture DOE request. Please see the details in the picture below. Shall I do DOEs in stages? How to screen so many factors in the mixture DOE?

I teach an MBA class that is based on JMP17 at the University of North Carolina’s online MBA program. Some of my students have been having an issue that I cannot replicate. They are running a version of JMP in which the formula generated from dependent models will not be displayed in a new column. I assumed initially that that was due to the “suppress formula evaluation” choice being selected from...
Hi, I have a relatively simple design that I'm not sure how to evaluate in JMP.
We're trying to find an I-Optimal design for two factors. One (X1), is a continuous factor with 2 levels and center points. The second (X2) is essentially just the run order times 4. The order of this variable cannot change. We know that X2 leads to changes in our response and want to properly model it's impact and in...
Hi, often use the legacy control charts, especially IR. Sometimes I want to change sample label from batch# to date and try to do this through the Relaunch analysis function but in the relaunch analysis dialogue it doesn't matter what I choose as Sample label, graph still only remembers the original choice. Any idea on how to fix this except running the IR from scratch?regardsPeter
Hello, I am trying to to design a DOE with the following factors:X1 -1 +1X2 -1 +1X3 -1 +1X4 L1 L2 L3 Due to experimental logistics, X4 cannot be changed easily; it requires an entire day to change. The other factors can be changed easily during each experiment. I was thinking of just doing a full factorial DOE design with X1, X2, and X3; and then repeating that same design for ea...

Hi,i have designed and run custom doe. in addition i have results with the same parameters that i want also to put inside the fit analysis. is there any option to to that?thanks
I have a variety of categorical factors that I am trying to fit in the Stepwise platform. For example, "Does the product have a FRAME, LINER, BAFFLE, INSULATION, etc.?" These are listed in the stepwise menu as Frame{Y-N}, Liner (Y-N), Baffle{N-Y}, Insulation{N-Y}, etc. Why are some contrasts listed as {Y-N} and others listed as {N-Y}? This is really slows my analysis down as I build a model bec...
Related to the previous post How to get "Effect size" column with Response Screening functionality , I am also wondering how effect size in the response screening platform is calculated, specifically for categorical Y vs continuous X. JMP help shows: "When Y is categorical and X is continuous, the effect size is the square root of the average ChiSquare value for the whole model test." Running b...
We want to rank the preference of population of animals for n different recipes. Recipes are tested in two-choice assays, where groups of over 100 individuals can choose one choice or the other. Preference for the group is computed as a preference index, a continuous variable that is between -1 and 1. Is there an experimental design that would help reduce the number of combinations to test in ord...
In Biology (Plant Sci. and Agriculture) usually we have sub-sampling data for replicates. It's very difficult to analyze these data in commonly use Stat S/W (SPSS/Minitab) because MSS(Error) is calculating wrongly. Without taking averages of samsamples, the easiest S/W for this is using JMP and I need some assistance for this. I've found very useful Youtube video about subsampling in JMP (CRD: S...
