  • split plot unbalanced number of replicates

hello,I'm working on a large breeding experiment testing the effect of drought on different genotypes. We set the main plot to irrigation level ( 2 levels), and the sub plot is the genotype ( 300 genotypes), 280 of them replicate in all three blocks and 20 are only found in two of the block. is there a way to estimate main effect of this kind of experimental design on JMP? thanks, Roy

I saw a similar post suggesting:window("Journal: Untitled")<<close window but unfortunately, this does not work. Does anyone else have anything else I can try? For reference, the journal is untitled.(Title is: "Journal: Unnamed *VALUE*").

  • Calculation for predicted response for RMSE in DOE

Hi Everyone, I am new to DOE and I am wondering, how does JMP calculate the the predicted response for the predicted plot when analyzing DOE data?   Thanks

  • Questions on RSM

Hello everyone, I have some questions on RSM:  I finished my experiments and I want to generate the Response Surfaces now. For example, one looks like this:  Q1: I would like to add this graph to a word document, how can I do that? Everytime I do this, the resolution of the axis are very bad and even increasing the font size does not help. Is the only valid method to use the snipped tool?  Q2: Whe...

  • Mixture DOE Constraints

I am a new user for JMP, I am trying to create a design of experiment for a mixture. I have four factors in my experiment : resin, plasticizer, Modifier A, Modifier B. I do not want Modifier A to be in the same batch with Modifier B. I want Modifier A or Modifier B not both. How do I create a constraint to disallow these two ingredients to be together in the same run?

  • continuous factor needs to be treated like a mixture factor

I have a factor I'd like to treat as continuous in order to assess curvature of response, but I need to restrain "total" to 100% a kin to a mixture setting. linear constraints on mixture dont allow to limit to equal as far as I can tell, rather only less then or greater then or equal too. Thoughts on how to address this problem?

  • DoE with two-choice experiments, continuous response variable

We want to rank the preference  of population of animals for n different recipes. Recipes are tested in two-choice assays, where groups of over 100 individuals can choose one choice or the other. Preference for the group is computed as a preference index, a continuous variable that is between -1 and 1. Is there an experimental design that would help reduce the number of combinations to test in ord...

  • Sub-sampling data analysis in JMP

In Biology (Plant Sci. and Agriculture) usually we have sub-sampling data for replicates. It's very difficult to analyze these data in commonly use Stat S/W (SPSS/Minitab) because MSS(Error) is calculating wrongly.  Without taking averages of samsamples, the easiest S/W for this is using JMP and I need some assistance for this. I've found very useful Youtube video about subsampling in JMP  (CRD: S...
