  • scores plot for PCA

The scores plot has a circle inside the scatterplot.  Does this represent a confidence interval or is it more for decorative purposes?  If the former, can the confidence interval be changed?

  • Confounded data identification

Dear JMP Professionals, I have a question regarding confounded data for RSM DoE. If I have a 4 factor optimization DoE with RSM, how can I identify, which factor effects are confounded with other effects. I know about the confounding matrix, buth How do I identify it when I have my final dataset collected an I analyze the data. Thanks a lot for your help!! Best Simon

  • Latin Hypercube Design

Hi, I'm planing a DOE for numerical simulations (CFD simulations).I'm thinking on using Latin Hypercube Design, for 2 responses and 3 continuous factor. How should I determine the minimum number of runs? I notice that in the software I can chose  the number of runs and it has an impact on the design diagnostics. There is an recommendation to determine the number of runs? My simulations are quite com...

  • How should I use fit definitive screening

I have a definitive screening design with 7 factors ( 6 continuous factors + 1 blcok factor) and 2 reponses. When I tried to use "Fit Definitive Screening" to analyze the data, I found I got totally 3 different results ( one each time and all use the same data). Every result has different "combined parameter estimates" and different" prediction profiler" and after I click "run model", each results...

  • Problem with Full-Factorial Design (Mixed-Model) add in result

Hello, I have a problem with this JMP add in  (Repeated Measures Full-Factorial Design Mixed-Model) result. In fact after running the model there is no estimation of the statistics given the data I have (see image below). It is very strange because I run the same model with similar data and I don't have this experience. Thank you in advance for the helpThe context is: two different groups in which...

  • DoE with two-choice experiments, continuous response variable

We want to rank the preference  of population of animals for n different recipes. Recipes are tested in two-choice assays, where groups of over 100 individuals can choose one choice or the other. Preference for the group is computed as a preference index, a continuous variable that is between -1 and 1. Is there an experimental design that would help reduce the number of combinations to test in ord...

  • Sub-sampling data analysis in JMP

In Biology (Plant Sci. and Agriculture) usually we have sub-sampling data for replicates. It's very difficult to analyze these data in commonly use Stat S/W (SPSS/Minitab) because MSS(Error) is calculating wrongly.  Without taking averages of samsamples, the easiest S/W for this is using JMP and I need some assistance for this. I've found very useful Youtube video about subsampling in JMP  (CRD: S...
