  • Using list of columns in formulas

I ran into an "problem" when trying to directly use a column list returned from the column dialog (for example {:sex, :age: name}). When I try to use that list directly in Col formulas (Col Mean, Col Sum...) with byVars the formula won't work correctly. Using the list with for example Sum() formula works fine. Is this intended behaviour and does anyone have cleaner ways to build Col Sums from list...

  • "^" next to P-value

Hello,After running a custom design, the symbol " ^ " appears next to the P-value of some 2nd order variables. What does it mean? Does it mean that the variable alone has less influence on the answer than the 2nd order factor ?Thanks

  • Calculation of utilities without using JMP

Good afternoon, I have made a discrete choice model, however I need to calculate the utilities of each combination outside the software. For this I use the estimates given by the software, but the estimates for the high attributes, reference attributes, do not appear in it. I have tried with the value of 0 for this estimate but the utility is not the same as those calculated by the software. Does ...

  • How to do DOE with dependent variables

Hello, I am not sure my DOE is good. I want to compare two different cell culture platforms.I have two different culture platforms and each plat form has different ranges of rpm and working volume. For examples, platforms A & B (categorical)For A, 100 rpm - 200 rpm / 100mLFor B, 300 rpm - 400 rpm / 25mLInitially, I had two factors like rpm1 (100 - 200 rpm) and rpm2 (300 - 400 rpm). Then, in 'model'...

  • Sample size to meet specificity and sensitivity requirements

Hi, I'm trying to calculate the sample size required for my test to meet the sensitivity and specificity requirements.I have a binary test that detects the presence of bacteria in water, if it's positive bacteria is present, if it's negative it is not present.I would like my test to have92% sensitivity (with 95% CI of 90-94%)and 90% specificity (with 95% CI of 88-92%)and I want the power to be 0.8...

  • Dunnett's for Multiple Ys

I am trying to get a script that will run Dunnett's on multiple Ys automatically in fit model, my issues:   If I change the multiple comparisons part where the factor and level is not a variable it works but only for the first Y, it will not repeat the Dunnett's part for the remaining Ys.   So my questions:   1.  Why doesn't this work like the fit model with a variable being used for the factor an...

  • Process screening platform change between JMP 15 and JMP16

Hello,  I use the process screening platform in a script. S = Response Screening( Y( Eval( Expr( YParamList ) ) ), X( :Split ), practical difference portion( 0.05 ),save compare means );Then I use the output table to draw  plots of significant parameters. However since we use JMP16 it doesn't work well. It seems that the name of table, the order of tables (the active table after execution is not t...

  • Sub-sampling data analysis in JMP

In Biology (Plant Sci. and Agriculture) usually we have sub-sampling data for replicates. It's very difficult to analyze these data in commonly use Stat S/W (SPSS/Minitab) because MSS(Error) is calculating wrongly.  Without taking averages of samsamples, the easiest S/W for this is using JMP and I need some assistance for this. I've found very useful Youtube video about subsampling in JMP  (CRD: S...
