  • How to make a single variable non-linear design that has more than one condition

Hello - As with a lot of experimentalists, I've lost a lot of lab time over the last few months. Of course, DOE is a great way to make up that time if one wasn't planning of using it in the first place. We are working with models so standard DOE wont work. I tried doing the nonlinear design platform on JMP, but kept getting a single condition replicated 10 times. The model (y = f(x)) is y=q*K*x/(1...

  • adding graphic to a graph box using a for-loop

Hi, I'm trying to add graphics (rectangles) to a graph box by using a for-loop. The expected outcome is a cross made of 31 rectangles. I have a working script where I wrote the code out line by line but would like to make it shorter and more scalable. The script below is running but only the last rectangle will be displayed in the graph box. When I write the script with 2 lines of "Add Graphics Scri...

  • Anderson-Darling - Shapiro Wilk

I have to test the data for normality.First used 9 version now 15.0As I understand from the forum the Shapiro Wilk test is outdated and the Anderson-Darling test (AD) is currently being used. AD is used to define kind of DistributionNormal Distribution; Cauchy;Lognormal;Exponential;Gamma;SHASH;Weibull. But what about a criterion. Does it look like Shapiro-Wilk's?Please help me to interpret three si...

  • Screening Design with multiple-level factors and one six-level categrocial factor

Dear JMP community. I struggle a bit in finding the right way to perform the DoE especially the screening design! First i want to find the most important factors with a screening design. Then I want to investigate the important factors in more details with more levels. I have 4 to 5 multiple factors (between 4-6 levels) and one categorical with 6-levels (the six levels represent different Technolo...

  • Search for filename

Hi.  Is there a way to have a script search the user's computer for a given filename and return the path?  Im using a Mac and JMP14.3 atm.  I'm interested in creating an add-in that calls another script on the user's computer, but I won't know where the user has stored the script.  In the add-in, I'm thinking something like this: //Add-in code path = [command or function to search for "myscript.j...

  • How to do D optimal design in JMP

I'm a beginner with JMP. Objective of my study is to find out optimized choice cards to the commuter under different scenarios. I have identified 3 alternatives (option A, B, C) with 4 attributes each namely, CC, TTS, DTD and PLR. For option A : (arranged from worst to best)CC - 3 levels (70,60,50)TTS - 3 levels (5,10,15)DTD1 - 2 levels (20,10)PLR1 - 3 levels (10,20,30)For option B : (arranged fro...

  • Local data filter and Custom Graph Script

I am using the approach suggested by @XanGregg in this post to make vector plots in Graph Builder. However, it seems the local data filter does not work on the arrows. It only filters the points but not the arrows. Do you have any suggestion on how to fix it?

  • Don't understand difference between Number of runs and replications

Hello,I am trying to design a sugarcane fertilization experiment with 4 levels of nitrogen, 3 levels of phosphorus, and 3 levels of potassium in a fractional factorial design. I got this design with 12 runs :Can I use only 12 plots (= to 12 runs) or should use replications (3 or 4 replications) of the 12 runs ? Thank you for your help.

  • Sub-sampling data analysis in JMP

In Biology (Plant Sci. and Agriculture) usually we have sub-sampling data for replicates. It's very difficult to analyze these data in commonly use Stat S/W (SPSS/Minitab) because MSS(Error) is calculating wrongly.  Without taking averages of samsamples, the easiest S/W for this is using JMP and I need some assistance for this. I've found very useful Youtube video about subsampling in JMP  (CRD: S...
