  • Representation of the interaction in a bar chart

Hello! I have a question on both graphical and statistical representation. In the following bar chart, the interaction between the two treatments is significant, so the most ideal way to represent the results graphically would be a bar chart with the following aesthetics:  Performing the Tukey of the interaction, the result of the analysis is as follows:  Although this JMP output would be the most...

  • Setting preferences for table summary?

Hi, I'm struggling with some presettings for table > summary in JMP 18:

    1. I want to have the box "Remove excluded groups" checked by default
    2. The output table name should be empty by default (new in JMP 18: a name like "Summary of ..." is entered by default, which leads to the error that in case of a "Recall" for another data table you will obtain the name of the previously chosen one :(

  • How to add a graphics script but using a variable vs a hard coded value

I'm trying to have a dynamic drawing of a spec "box" in graph builder but I can't seem to get it to work.  I've tried making the usl and lsl expr(usl) and expr(lsl) and done eval(eval expr()) but that did not work either.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!  rpt=dt<<Graph Builder( Size( 527, 456 ), Show Control Panel( 0 ), Graph Spacing( 5 ), Variables( X( :Min ), Y( :Max ) ), Elem...

  • Change Line Color and Line Style in all platforms

I am looking for a method to automatically change line color and style on all platforms (Distribution, variability, bivariate, oneway) for all columns with spec limits. I loaded spec limits from "Limits Table" at "Analyze-Quality and Process-Manage Spec limits" and saved to column properties. These spec limits are shown as reference lines in all platforms ((Distribution, variability, bivariate, one...

  • Data Visualization in Virtual Reality

Has anyone considered or have any interest in visualizing JMP plots (e.g., 3D scatter, surface) in virtual reality? I know there are several immersive VR programs (Arthur, Virtualitics, NVIDIA Omniverse) that can handle data and images generated from other program and I was wondering if anyone has made any attempts to do the same with JMP. Would love to hear back from anyone interested.

  • Flame graphs

Out of curiosity, has anyone ever managed to create something like a flame graph ( https://www.brendangregg.com/flamegraphs.html ) using Graph Builder? It looks like it would be ideal for analyzing hierarchical data, e.g. using the output of a linux "find . -ls" command to visualize disk usage.

  • Characters as Markers: How to get rid of the shadows?

I like the ability to add outlines to data points. This is very useful for separating partially overlapping data points.Unfortunately, when characters are used as markers, the outline mode looks very unprofessional - kind of like shadows, but without blur.Besides turning off the outline mode - is there a way to get rid of the "shadows"? (view in My Videos)  Names Default to Here(1); dt = Open( "$S...

  • I would like to find another political scientist or other social scientist who has worked with mapping congressional districts and counties

There are great bodies of data presented by counties (disease incidence, education, income). There are other bodies of data presented by congressional districts (incumbents, vote percentages, etc.)  I want to find someone who has mapped the counties and the congressional districts into the same space.  I know this can be done with ESRI products, but  I wanted to avoid jumping off the JMP platform....
