  • MINITAB IMPORT

    I have a minitab project and I am wondering what is the best way to import it to JMP.  I understand that the project can't be imported.  Is it something like putting the minitab all in excel then importing?  Any help is appreciated. thanks

  • Error bars for non-normal data

    Hello JMP community, I wanted to hear what statisticians believe is the best way to depict error bars for skewed data?I have a non-normal distribution of measurements (mg of drug taken per a day across ~50 people across 3 days) and I have 3 groups of people. I'd like to make a line graph (not box plot) but I'm not sure what to put as the error bars. The main data points would be the median (not me...

  • Why are total effects sometimes more than 1 in variable importance?

    Hello, I'm analyzing a DoE and had a look on the variable importance graphs. Surprisingly, the sum of the total effects of my parameters are greater than 1 sometimes (see picture below). I did not find anything in the documentation for this. Can someone explain, why the sum of the total effects can be greater than 1?        Best, Christian

  • Combining Several JMP Reports (Graphs) via script?

    Hello,  I have 25 different graphs I've created via the Bivariate feature, and saved as independent .JRP files. I was wondering if there was a fast way to combine all of these reports into one file through scripting? Such as a dashboard for example, or another format (.PDF, .JRN, .JRP). I have tried to manually combine them into a dashboard, however JMP runs extremely slowly when I have more than ...

  • For Loop every two columns to perform the same function in a data table with n columns

    Hi! I'm new to JSL scripting, and have tried to read the JSL reference manual/google JSL script examples. Could someone please point me in the direction on how to for loop every two columns to perform the same function in a JMP data table with n columns? Basically I have a large data spreadsheet where every odd column is failure time, every even column is the censoring, and I would like to fit the...

  • Difficulties opening jmpaddin stored on sharepoint site with scripting

    When I manually open an add-in stored on a sharepoint site I get the following warning, but the add-in will install successfully.  However, when I try to do the same from JSL, I get the following error.   Any ideas how I could get around this?open("https://elancoah.sharepoint.com/sites/ElancoManagedJMPAdd-ins/addinDepot/hatchery.jmpaddin");

  • Error in estimating interactions using Fit Model:Contrasts

    I teach stats in my graduate psychology program, and my approach is to use orthogonal contrasts to analyze ANOVA designs. (See this book among others.) The "LSMeans Contrasts" option in the right-most section of the output is a fantastic way to analyze the data this way without actually having to built contrast codes in JMP columns. I start with the main effect contrasts and then figure out how to...
