virtual join to a table that does not have a path

I am creating a table by concatenating several other tables in a script.  I would like to use a column in this concatenated table as a link ID that can be referenced in other tables.   The link reference seems to require a file path.  Unfortunately I do not have a file path since the file is created through scripting.  Does anyone have an idea how to get around this?

Many thanks,

John

Re: virtual join to a table that does not have a path

I think you can use

columnref << Set Property("Link Reference", Reference Table(tablename))

where tablename is the character string for the table name or an object reference for the data table you want to link to.

Did some more snooping and found this link:

Looks like I will need to save the file somewhere before I can link to it.
