Hi everybody ,

I just want to know if the jmp SW built-in functions allow you to specify whether the datasets are heteroscedastic (different σ) or homoscedastic (equal σ).

What are the steps i need to do to determine if both the populations have equal varaiance or not?

Thanks

It is an option under the Fit Y by X(Oneway) analysis

You could have found this by searching th Statistics Index for it

Adding to Jim's help, choose **Pooled t** if the variances are not different or **t Test** if they are different.

Learn it once, use it forever!
