MATLAB and JMP Pro 14 on Mac OS 10.14

Hi all,

I see conflicting information on the web as to whether it is possible to use the MATLAB connect interface in JMP Pro 14 running on a Mac? After many tries, I cannot connect to my Matlab R2018b software. ANy advice would save me time!

Thanks, Yves

For your information, support has confirmed that JMP Pro cannot work with Matlab when running a recent Mac OS X.

MATLAB works with Mac OSX.  See

     Help==>Books==>Working with MATLAB

If that does not solve your issue, you need to contact JMP Support at:

Re: MATLAB and JMP Pro 14 on Mac OS 10.14

Thank you for your message! Unfortunately, I cannot make it connect to Matlab (tried on two different installations). I always get the following error message:

SAS Extension "tkintml" load failed in access or evaluation of 'Glue' , MATLAB Init(); /*###*/MATLAB Term() /*###*/;

In the following script, error marked by /*###*/

MATLAB Init(); /*###*/MATLAB Term() /*###*/;

Somewhere I saw that this was due to a recent change in OS X. I just want to know whether it is fundamentally impossible to make it work given this situation. That way, I won't waste any more time.

Best regards, Yves
