JMP 18 for Mac

JMP 18 for Mac has a problem where empty cells get filled in with values from the adjacent column in the table that is being queried.

For example, if I do

SELECT 555, null

Then Column 1 and Column 2 both get populated with 555

This was reported in June of 2024 but I still don't have a solution from the development team at JMP 18. Is there any workaround that I can use so that I can trust my data in JMP?

Re: JMP 18 for Mac

The fix is in the works.  I talked to the developer that made the fix in JMP19.  I do not think it made it into the upcoming JMP 18.2, but believe that it will be in the maintenance and security update JMP 18.2.1

Re: JMP 18 for Mac

Any timeline for 18.2.1? Thanks!

Re: JMP 18 for Mac

I see an 18.2.1 on the update site, can someone from JMP (@Paul_Nelson ?) confirm this issue if fixed in that 18.2.1 updater?

Thanks!

Re: JMP 18 for Mac

take a look at the release notes for 18. https://www.jmp.com/content/dam/jmp/documents/en/support/jmp182/release-notes.pdf

I think the 4th item might be what you are describing.

Re: JMP 18 for Mac

Yes, I believe it is fixed in 18.2.1 our internal defect tracking system indicates it has been fixed in 18.2.1 and 19.0.
