  • Why is the power of quadratic factors in DoE that low

I have created several experimental designs, including ones with quadratic effects. I’ve noticed that the power of these quadratic effects is always relatively low. Why is that the case? What can be done about it? Regards Klaus

  • Make row state handler

Hi, I have a JSL code to append button boxes for row selection. The problem is that it keeps appending duplicate boxes even if only 1 row is selected. I only want to append 'n' box for 'n' selected rows. If no rows are selected then it should delete all the boxes in the table box It added 10 boxes just by selecting 1 row.  Names Default To Here( 1 ); dt2 = Open( "$SAMPLE_DATA/Iris.jmp", invisible...

  • How do I get z-scores for each protein in the Longitudinal dataset? (JMP Pro 18 Free Student Edition)

For context, I am running analyses on a proteomics experiment. I have two datasets: Intraday (comparing AM to PM), and Longitudinal (comparing Day 0 to Day 30 to Day 90) for protein concentration. For Intraday, I have 600 proteins I am looking at. For Longitudinal, I have 68. I want to find out the magnitude of change between the time points for each protein, so I am trying to find z-scores. I am ...

  • Adding data source (DSN)

    Hello comunity,

I am using JMP 18 on macOS Sequoia 15.6.
I am using Database > Open table (or Data Connector) to add a data source I want to using.

I click on New connection... and it shows the data sources (DSN) I have set up on ODBC.

I select the data source I want and click on Choose DSN and I get this error.
I am quite certain I have set up my DSN correctly. Anyone using the same OS that ...

  • Randomization with Blocks

Hello I have a Definitive Screening Design and, as JMP suggests, I selected blocks with center points to estimate quadratic effects. This results in two blocks (Block 1 and Block 2). Now I want to randomize. JMP suggests randomizing only within the blocks. I believe this is correct. However, the blocks are then not interleaved during execution (e.g., 1 1, then 2 2, then again 1 1, then 2 2, etc.),...

  • SPC Sampling Rate Determination

I am trying to determine an appropriate sampling plan for a manufacturing process which has a dimensional in process control (a length). There is a USL and LSL with a target. Cpk and Ppk are both coming in at >2 on a sample size of >2000 units across two mfg. lots.

We sampled at a rate of ~5%. I’m trying to figure out what the minimum sample rate is to ensure quality (95/95 confidence coverage). H...

  • What are the best practices for exporting JMP graphs so they retain high resolution ?

Hi Mates, My name is Dheeraj Hinduja . I basically lives in Sudan. I want to know the best practices for exporting JMP graphs for high-resolution use (e.g., in publications or large presentations).Which export format (e.g., EMF, PNG, or PDF) and specific settings within the 'Save As' dialogue or Journal maintain the highest quality and prevent resolution loss? Please share your workflow tips!

  • Time varying effect in Recurrence Analysis, data format and calculation

      Dear all
I am assigned a task to perform recurrence analysis on our data.
The data we have are robot repairs. We want to see repair events and cost in response to accumulated transactions using recurrence analysis.
I attached a simulated data for this question. It only has three bots since we haven't decided how to arrange the data and I just put those three bots manually. I will update with more ...
