  • What is the relation between Fit Parametric Survival and Fit Life by X and how do I get alpha values?

I am using Fit Parametric Survival with a weibull fit to several different groups of data (group 0 to group 19) with only location effect. Parallelly I am verifying the alpha values of the weibull fit to the different groups from Fit Life by X plot. I understand that in the Fit Parametric Survival plot, it takes the last group as the anchor point and calculates the intercept (not sure what exactly...

  • Predictor screening always showing up as 0 contribution?

All variables all showing up as 0 contribution. Whether in put 6 or 20 columns into the X variable selection, it always comes out as 0. I’m using a data point for everyday for the past ~5 years. Is there a specific reason why this is happening?

  • I-optimal custom DOE RSM design with continuous and categorical factors - centre points not balanced?

Hi, I want to create an I-optimal custom DOE with 5 continuous factors and one categorical factor (with 2 levels). I also want to have 4 centre points which I specify on set-up. I also choose RSM for my model as I know there is curvature. When JMP creates the design, the centre points are not equally divided across the two categorical levels - one category gets 4 centre points and the other gets 2...

  • How does JMP Calculate Fixed Effects?

I am comparing mixed model fixed effect calculations made in JMP versus R, attempting to produce similar results. I have been told JMP is using a Type III ANOVA. However, when I run a Type III in R (Wald Chisquare test), I get differing p values and sometimes different significant results. Additionally, the F ratio appears to replace the chi square value. Does anyone know what specific type of tes...

  • post-hoc analyses when using non-linear regression

I have data from a dose-response experiment (pharmacology) to which I fitted a modified Michael-Menten model using non-linear regression (--> specialized modeling --> nonlinear (model = A*(1-exp(-k*dose))^c + intercept)). In this experiment the accent was put on testing many different levels; the number of observations for an individual level is limited (insufficient for a direct analysis of varia...
