  • DSD Screening Replication

In trying to try to control a visual quality characteristic, we are nearly ready to run a 4 factor (all are continuous variables, e.g., temperature, feed rate, etc.) DSD at 3 levels per factor.  This will have us run 9 treatments for the DSD.My question is: Should I run one or more replications on the DSD screening-type DOE?

  • How to make a formula (Delta / %Delta) in JMP

Hi everyone, need some help..From JMP sample data (Raleigh Temps) shown below, I had added the last 2 columns and made a calculation in excel based on the formula for "Delta in Temp" by month  as "=C2-$C$2, =C3-$C$2, =C4-$C$2 and so on.."  and  for "% Delta in Temp"  as "=G2/C2" (% formatted).
Now, I would like to do the same in JMP.  Could someone show me how to make the formula or script in JMP?...

  • Adding histogram borders to Contour Plot

Hello,I am wondering if there is a way to add histogram borders to the Contour Plot platform or even within GraphBuilder? It is a very useful feature within Fit Y by X and was wondering if it is possible or if it has been done before.Given JSL is fairly flexible I thought it might be do-able but I haven't quite scoped it out.Thank you,JP

  • Date Issue

I am having some issues with creating a clolumn of dates.  For example, entered 01/2010 and 02/2010 in the first two cells of a column.  I then highlight the two cells and right click.  Then I select "Fill" and "Continue sequence to..." and then select line 65.  This seems to work well until I discovered that a month somewhere in the column is skipped!!!!  What is up with that?  Is there some sort...

  • Principal component analysis questions

Hi, I'm fairly new to PCA.  I've read up on it a bit and watched several YouTube lectures on the subject. I think I have a so-so handle on it.  I understand the multi-dimensional orthogonal nature of it, that I can use it for variable reduction and categorizing, and it is looking for linear relationships.I'm more curious about finding trends with parameters of interest using JMP.  For example, if ...

I don't know if anybody using the Interactive HTML output as intensive as me but Fit Y by X platform needs an upgrade about converting the jmp language to HTML5 language. Here is an example comparing the outputs of both. Almost none of the axis and font and colour settings seem to be carried over.

  • PowerPoint Export of Journal

Is there a way to control the formatting of the exported PowerPoint deck?  The exported file needs so much clean up I am not sure if it saves any time over cutting and pasting.  I made a simple journal from the big class data table and a 1 page journal turns into a 5 page PowerPoint. The resulting PowerPoint is attached.

  • Degrees of freedom in post-hoc t-tests

Hi, I have a question regarding the post-hoc t-tests in JMP. I run a repeated measures ANOVA with one random and two fixed factors. The two-way interaction between the fixed factors is included. (Y=random(A) + A + B + A*B). Following a significant A*B effect, I use the 'effect details' option to do post-hoc t-tests, Bonferroni-corrected for the number of comparisons. But. When I chose 'detailed co...
