  • Dot Plot Error in Jump

Hi folks, I am using Jump to make a dot plot, somehow the result is different from the Excel plot. As shown below, Figure 1 is Jump plot, the region within the red circle is intermittent dot. Figure 2 is Excel plot, the region within the red circle is a continuous plot. I am attaching the Excel raw data, could anyone help me debug the Jump plot? Thanks.

  • Model a functional response using a functional factor

Hi, Is it possible to model a functional response based on a functional factor? I'm familiar with the Functional DOE Analysis option when I fit a model to a functional response but I've only found it possible to add non-functional / single-column factors.  Any ideas would be much appreciated. Kind regards,Alicia

  • Optimal Designs

Danke.   T...

  • When should you not use predictor screening?

I'm curious if there are any times when you should not use the predictor screening tool, & if so, what should you check with your data to understand if you might have issues using predictor screening?

  • When we bootstrap a nonlinear model, how are the bootstrap parameters calculated?

JMP has proved to be an invaluable tool, and we are using JMP's nonlinear platform to fit various kinetic models that are now being used for regulatory purposes.   We need to be able to describe to various agencies around the world such as FDA, EMEA, how the bootstrap parameter list is generated within JMP.   We don't need extreme detail, just a description in plain lay-person's English that can ...

I’ve conducted an ordinal logistic regression analysis with 3 independent variables. I then want to ask if adding an interaction to an independent variable is warranted. What is the best approach for determining whether to retain the interaction term or not?
