  • Variance partitioning in a GLM

Hi. I am wondering how to determine the portion of variance in the dependent variable that is explained by each independent variable in a GLM. I know this is doable in R, but would prefer to stick with JMP if possible. Thanks, Marthe

  • Changing fit line color while using fit model

I am using the fit  model to draw fit lines based on the value of my column 'Tools'. I have 2 values in this column 'a' and 'b'. I need a red fit line for 'a' and blue fit line for 'b' in all scenarios. Seems like the  default colors being used in fit models is red for the fit line of the first value and blue for the following, something that I have leveraged to get the required functionality, i.e...

  • Why does Profiler not stop

    All,
I have a script I am trying to profile and improve on. When I run the script without the profiler, it runs and ends within 4 minutes. When I try to profile the script, even after a good 5-6 minutes, it does not stop. Wondering why this is happening and if there is a way to use profiler and not run into this.      I am using JMP 13.

  • Estimating the Probability of finding defective product

I need a little bit of statistics help. I've been working on a project that has yielded inconclusive results based on my sampling. My leadership team wants to press forward nonetheless and is planning to sample from the line at a set frequency to "Verify" what I could not on my own. I need help estimating the probability that they will find what I couldn't find based on their increased frequency. ...

  • How do I remove the zoom feature from Crosshairs

Is there a setting which allows one to remove the zoom feature from the Crosshairs function? Previous JMP versions showed the X and Y values when you applied the crosshairs but did not have this extra circular window. The window often gets in the way of other features of the graph that I would like to have displayed. Thanks!crosshairs

  • Debugging JSL script

Hi All, When I encounter a problem in the script, I try to put the cursor on the variables and it used to show me the last stored value of different variables in log window, instead of specifically typing show(variable). I am not sure what I changed in settings/preferences, it doesn't show up anymore. I am using JMP 13. Anyone came across this issue? Thank you

  • Convert separate DATE and TIME columns in formats YYYYMMDD and HHMMSS into a single column

Hello, I manage an addin for my company where all data is imported into JMP via command line utilities owned by our automation team. My addin translates a users request into a formatted command and issues the command in the background. The data is returned back as a text file on the users system. My addin can then load the data from the text file. The issue that I have is that the columns vary bas...

Is there a way to calculate pseudo r square based on the results JMP presents under the choice model platform? I know pseudo R square comes up as entropy RSquare under JMP's fit model platform, nominal logistic fir for respon...
