  • How to trigger a user selection for files when creating an automated workflow?

I'm attempting a fully automated analysis workflow and have been successful except for one step. When I'm recording and select a file from a file folder to analyze, the workflow records to pull that exact file each time. How do I change the JSL code to prompt the user to select a file manually within the analysis workflow? Or are there other solutions to this I am not thinking of?  Kindly,  TK

  • How to get database connections that have been used in current JMP session

Dear community, when I connect first time to a database (e.g. ODBC-connection that are listed in my ODBC Database administrator under Windows),
I need to authenticate and it takes some extra time to set everything up. When I do it the second time during that session, it works w/o authentication and it is a little faster. How can I identify the connections that have been used during my current sessi...

  • How to get reference to a table within "On Close" in that table?

Hi!   I need some help with getting a reference to the table within On Close statement of that said table. I have a simple script: GUI with "Open" button, that opens a data table, and a combo box with list of tables. I also keep track of the tables in an associative array with table names as keys and table references as values. I have a couple of legacy namespaces that I have to maintain in this s...

  • Custom Desirability in Bayesian Optimization

I am trying to do multi response Bayesian optimization in JMP Pro - Apologies if this is a stupid question but, how do I set custom desirabilites for each response and have them carry through multiple iterations? When I use "set desirabilities" it is not clear these are carried through to the run / batch  selection process OR to any further BO iterations.

  • How best to account for 2 nuisance factors in my DOE: 1 that's quantifiable (tank to tank variability), & 1 that simply accounts for monthly/time-series variation?

If I want to do a (definitive?) screening design with 6 controllable factors in 17 runs (that DOE does not include tank to tank or monthly variation) - what would be the best way to capture the possible error due to those 2 potential nuisance factors? My process involves trying to increase output in a batch reactor process, & I have 4 different reactor tanks & so we can complete 4 runs at a time (...

  • Automation of Reports for PowerPoint Templates with JMP 15

    Hi all,

I run weekly reports on physiochemical attributes. The old process was to manually input data from excel into JMP. After entering the new data into JMP two scripts are run: Run Chart and Control Chart scripts, that are saved to the Data Table. These scripts have limits of precision and formatting applied (or saved into the scripts). Then the charts are copy & pasted one by one into a PowerP...

  • Why is it not possible to generate this graph in JMP?
