  • Graph Builder Dynamic Subtitles

Hello, I was hoping someone could help me figure out how to make it so that the subtitle of my graph would be take the min(:Year) and max(:Year) and use them in the subtitle. So, if the minimum year was 2018 and the maximum was 2025 then the subtitle would be "2018 - 2025".

  • Copy pasting column headers & data from Excel to JMP - changed behaviour in JMP19?

JMP 18 allowed copy pasting of column headers from Excel to JMP tables easily using point & click. See the video here: (view in My Videos)   Sadly, this isn't out of the box functionality for JMP 19. Anyone who knows a fix? I think this was really useful functionality to have and am wondering what made JMP remove it. (view in My Videos)   As a somewhat seasoned JMP user, this looks like it could b...

  • How to build linear or non linear models with constrained responses (sum of outputs = 1) in JMP?

I often need to model continuous response variables that represent proportions across categories, where the responses for each sample must sum to 1 (e.g., P1=10%, P2=25%, P3=35%, P4=30%).
In Python, I use a softmax output layer to enforce the sum-to-one constraint. How can I build such models in JMP—either linear or neural network—while ensuring the sum of the predicted responses equals 1?Is there ...

  • Scripting Help Requested - Making a simulator for Type 1 errors in equivalence testing

Hi All,   I'm trying to write a script that will generate a random dataset (n=3 reference and test measurements) and then run a simulation with some number (1000 or whatever).  For each set I'll run an equivalence test and I'd like the output to be a report/table with the frequency of events where equivalence was demonstrated.  The goal of this tool will be to give a probability of type 1 errors g...

  • Issue with disallowed combinations filters in DOE

Dear Community, I have two factors for which I want disallowed combination i a Custom DOE. If the "Accel step 2 = 0  , there can't be any "speed from step 1" if the Accel step 2 > 0, there cannot be any "speed from step 1" at 0. I tried to translate like this : Accel step 2 == 0 & Relative speed from step 1 > 0 | Accel step 2 > 0 &Relative speed from step 1 == 0 The DOE generated is indeed removin...

  • Why is this DropZone called "Color"

Day 1 with JMP and a user wants to generate a point plot with 2 different colors for male and female:   The easy solution: use the Color Dropzone

The surprise: The Overlay does the same. The second surprise: "Color" can do more than just "color":
For every entry in the legend, the user gets the possibility to define the Marker Style as well - as well as Size and Transparency.
    A lazy user doesn't c...

  • Space Filling Design with Constraints - Not Working

I am attempting to use the Space Filling Design with constraints. The constraint I am using in the dialog is ('Power (W)'/'Top N2 flow')>70   I use fast flexible Filling Design and select 60 runs. In reviewing the runs 12 of the 60 violate the disallowed Combinations Expression.  Note no error is raised If I change the factor names to 'Power' instead of 'Power (W)') and 'N2' instead of 'Top N2 flo...

  • How to show multiple summary statistics in a graph for single set of points

Hi,  I'm building a graph using a scattered plot. My points are based on the "mean" statistics. I'd like to add labels of "mean" and "N" statistics to the same points.  Since the scale is very different between "mean" and "N", adding second set of same points to the graph hides all the differences of "mean" statistics. How can I show both statistics to the single set of "mean" points? I'm hoping I...
