  • "open" in JSL

Hi,  I read the other discussion post with this name and I am having a slightly different issue.  I am using my work computer so security could be the actual issue.  I have tried to open a file from my OneDrive, Desktop and from a thumbdrive.  Does this script look correct?

  • Paired t test

Hi I want to compare between two treatments: 1) No fertilizer and 2) Fertilizer. I wanted to know whether there is an increase in yield due to the fertilizer application. Two parallel blocks were selected, in the first block no fertilizer was applied whereas in the second block the fertilizer was applied. Fifteen samples were harvested from each block. I would like to use the paired t test and the...

  • Student t test vs paired t test

I would like to compare potato yield between two varieties. These varieties planted next to each other in the field. From each variety, 12 yield samples were harvested.I am wondering whether I should use paired t-test or 2-sample t-test for the data analysis.Paired t-test: The degree of freedom (df) would be n-1 (12-1).Two sample t-test: The degree of freedom (df) would be 2n-2 (24-2).I analyzed t...

  • Live SPC Dashboard from Excel Report

Hello JMP Community, This is my first time posting and my first large JMP scripting project so please bear with me.This forum has been very helpful to get where I am so far.   Goal: Have one JMP dashboard that opens and parses all excel files located in a directory displaying IR charts for each asset number. Live in the sense that each time the dashboard/script is opened it runs and updates the ch...

  • Help with error message - Argument is wrong type in access or evaluation of 'Contains'

I need to check if the columns contain either of the 2 strings and then replace column value with value in another column. Here's the code - For(i=1,i<= NRows(dt),i++, if(contains(:step[i],"NA")| contains(:step[i],".") , :step[i] = description[i]; ) );   But I get an error saying - argument is wrong type in access or evaluation of 'Contains' What am I doing wrong here?

  • JMP Variability Gauge chart is automatically scaling y-axis to the data and not showing limits

I recently upgraded to JMP14.1 from JMP 13. I have a script that automatically populates spec limits to 100s of columns and then it enables the feature to show the spec limits on the graph (Show as Graph Reference Lines). The script works fine with no errors in JMP 14.1 and also enables the check box for all the columns. However, JMP 14.1 seems to be scaling the y-axis as per the data spread and i...

  • Consolidating Rows and Deleting Blank Data in JMP13

Hello all,  My question is twofold. My data appear something like this:  1-Ax y....1-A..zq..1-A....ww2-Byw....2-B..ty..2-B....qp I would like to A) delete the empty data points and B) consildate the rows according to the identifier in the first column that each row has in common (i.e. 1-A and 2-B).  I would like my end result to look like this:  1-Axyzqww2-Bywtyqp Does anyone have any suggestions ...

  • I want to use LASSO and Group LASSO in JMP

I'm involved in a project where we are applying lasso to build a logistic regression model from a "black box" set of predictors.  I need to get JMP Pro before trying out JMP's implementation.  I'm doing all the analysis in R at present.  Does JMP Pro also include group lasso?  I've found through using JMP Cluster Variables (CLUSVAR) that I can naturally group my predictors prior to group lasso.  F...

  • Mean separation letter from test slices

    Hello!

How do I get the mean separation letter in for each level of a factor when interaction is significant? For example, if I have A*B interaction and I want to get the mean separation of B at each level of A, how do I get the LSD letters in JMP? I can do test slices and that will use the DF of the full analysis, but this does not shows which mean of B differs. If I do multiple comparison: How ca...

  • repeated-measures ANCOVA: How to perform the analysis when the parallel slope assumpt. doesn't meet?

Hi all,I need to perform the ANCOVA for a repeated-measures design. I tried to adapt the Julian's ANCOVA procedure showed on the https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mApbp1RDy-U to my study case (repeated-measures design). Initially, I did the following actions: 1. In the Fit Y by X dialogue: I selected VAR_Y as "Y, Response" and VAR_X as "X, Factor";2. For "Group by" I selected the variable Timepoint;...
