  • How to interpret Topic Loading and Topic Score in Latent Semantic Analysis, SVD in Text Explorer

Hi Community,When you run SVD on Text Explorer it produces Topic Score and Topic Loading. I understand that these are the Singular vectors at document level and at term level respectively. But how do you actually interpret the values of a particular Topic Score or Topic Loading. There are both negative and positive numbers. Does a high positive number mean something as opposed to a high negative n...

  • Simple Question about Loops

Hello, I'm a longtime JMP user, but just recently started learning about scripts. I'm trying to learn the basics, and one of the key things I want to master is the use of for loops. So I created a sample dataset with 4 columns:1) PATIENTID: list of unique values for patient number
    2) VALUE: Value of a patient rating at a particular timepoint
    3) TIME: Timepoint at which patient rating was collected
    4)...

  • PCA - color map on correlations

Hi everyone, I'm performing a PCA analysis and I really like to visualize the correlations using the 'color map on correlations'. However, I would like to have my variabale labels' at the x and y of this graph (see attached image). Is there any way to do this?  Thank you!

  • JMP find R

Hi there,Very much a novice-question here. I like to use JMP, and have some data in R that I'd like to import to JMP. I'm trying to use the JMP-to-R interface (first time scripting in JMP), and I don't really know what I'm doing. However, when I run the following JSL script, nothing happens; test1 = Get R(test1);I'm sure there's much more to it than this, but I'm really at a loss on how to proceed...

  • Select a dynamic number of columns with JSL, selecting columns that meet a condition

https://www.jmp.com/support/help/14-2/use-set-selected-to-select-columns.shtmlWhat's the best way to rewrite something like this? The intent is that DT is a join of TRANSPOSE and CATEGORY_TABLE.CATEGORY_TABLE is a one column table with column CategoryTRANSPOSE is the result of a data transposeThe trick is that TRANSPOSE doesn't always have the same number of columns.  Confusingly, the output of th...

  • Normal quantiles interpretation

Hello,  Based on my knowledge the quantiles are from 0.0 to 1.0 for a continuous variable. JMP shows that nicely on the distribution platform. But when I save the Normal Quantiles to a table, I also see negative quantile values and more than 1.0 values. Which does not make sense? How do I interpret these values and convert them to quantiles in the range from 0.0, 0.25, 0.50, 0.75 and 1.0.  Thanks

  • How to Add Profit Matrix to Neural Net Confusion Matrix

Hi all, I'm using a neural net to predict whether or not a customer will prefer to buy retail items at a markdown or if they are likely to buy full-price (i.e., "bargain buyers" vs. traditional shoppers). I'd like to incoporate the opportunity cost of a false positive (giving discounts to what would otherwise be a full-price shopper) using a profit matrix, but changing values on the matrix in the ...

  • Capability Animation - How to see the LSL/USL Value?

I just discovered this nifty tool called the Capability Animation, where you can play around, dragging the spec limits and mean shifts, and it simulates your capability indices. But, I cannot see the actual LSL/USL values as I drag them! Does anyone know how to make this happen?

  • How to Post JSON data to a site via API functionality: "Unsupported Media Type"

Hi There, I am trying to perform a POST request to post some JSON data to a server, but unfortunately as of now I keep getting a 415 error. The goal of this script is to upload a JSON formatted file (or something of the like) to the server for other users to download/read. I noticed that there are very few POST examples with JSL, but quite the abundance with GET, which I have no problems with. I w...
