  • Which predictive analysis method/column organisation for RSM output with duplicate samples

Hi all. So I'm working on a project where I have 2 x component classes, each of which has 4 items within the class, which are mixed together at varying concentrations over 48 combinations. Figured the best Factor way to do this was to use 2 x Continuous for the max/min concentrations for each class, then 2 x 4-level Categoricals for each of the items. Each of the combinations was made twice, so af...

  • JSL Summary function (is this really the expected behaviour?)

Hi everyone, I use JMP on several computers and on one of them, I had installed JMP with the interface in French while on other it is in English. Both run under MacOS. This normally doesn't prevent me from running JSL scripts on either without having to modify anything. However, I came across a situation where it makes the code fail. In the summary function , one can ask for the column names in th...

  • Accessing Control Chart constants/unbiasing constant

I'm doing a variance analysis and need to look at the unbiased variance estimates for a number of subgroups I'm looking at.  I can manually calculate them using a d2 table I have, but I was hoping there was a way to put that into a formula.    I know that it can be derived from the Chi-squared distribution, but I don't have the math for that.    Any help on either a direct way to extract d2, or th...

  • How to change orders of grouping in graph builder?

As shown in the attached picture, right now the "After" group is showing in front of the "Before", which doesn't make sense. How can I swap them? Tried sorting the Group column by Descending in the data table but didn't work.

  • how to show "nonparametric overlay" in the output of "Fit life by x"?

I tried to do “Fit life by X” (fit TTF by voltage), but in the output, somehow “nonparametric overlay” did not show up. I was hoping to see the probability of failure vs time at 80V, 50V, and 15V (use condition), but that plot was not included in the output. I attached the report here. If anyone can take a look and point out went wrong, that would be great. Thank you!

  • Custom Binning - how to edit the bins?

Wow, custom binning even works with dates, cool! There is even a possibility to edit the binning. But: quite uncomfortable to type in the dates in seconds and to correct the labels manually. What do I have to change in my workflow to be able to enter the "dates" in a usual format - and to get the labels adjusted automatically?

  • How do I conduct common factor analysis and principal component analysis with a correlation matrix?

Hello: I would like to know how to input a correlation matrix (or covariance matrix) into JMP to conduct a common factor analysis (or principal components analysis).  I cannot find any examples in the documentation or anywhere.   I am sure somebody has done it before in JMP. Can you post your solution? Thanks Narayanan
