  • Interval Tray setting in preferences

Hi,Is there a way in JMP to set a preference where if the data on my x-axis in nominal or ordinal to always plot as an interval tray? I find myself constantly having to update the x-axis settings whenever I plot ordinal or nominal data on x-axis.

  • Process Capability Physical Boundaries

How can one set physical boundaries in process capability analysis.  For example, when I evaluate capability to measure within specification of a trace element in a material, most data will be near zero, but cannot be less than zero.  This results in a highly skewed distribution with the bulk of the data piling up around zero and then the distribution has only a one-sided tail.  But the capability...

  • Scatterplot Matrix - Group doesn't work

Greetings, I'm having trouble with the Scatterplot Matrix Group option working consistently in JMP 16.0.0. See examples below. It works fine if I group by Species as in the help file example using Iris sample data. But it doesn't work if I use the Fitness sample data, trying to group by Sex. I must be missing something simple here but I can't find it. In both cases I'm using a Character Nominal co...

  • Duplicating a Graph Builder plot?

Is it possible to duplicate a Graph Builder plot/configuration?Basically, my workflow entails setting up the axis/factors and then dropping in different [parametric] data columns to get a quick glimpse of what the boxplots/histograms look like -- I'd like to then be able to duplicate that Graph Builder window/tab and then play with other columns. My pain-point is that I have hundreds of columns, s...

  • Distribution platform

Hello,Need some advice.I used distribution platform to check best fit for my data. I wanted to know, if there is any way to check what is the level of error (in central tendency and variance) introduced if we assume a non-normal distribution as a normal distribution.

  • Generalized linear model or Nominal Logistic for RNAseq data

Colleagues,Imagine I have RNAseq data in the form of reads count measured in 2 environments, with 3 replicates each, in a single sequencing experiment. Like this:Env readsA         9A       10A       11B        4B        5B        6Of course I can treat each reads count as an independent variable and do a t test and I will have very low power. Instead, I want to be able to treat each read as an ob...

  • Using a List to Filter in Custom Query Builder - Question

Hello, I would like to use a list to filter within a continuous column in Query Builder. Range and then join does not work as my data set from my database will be tens of millions of lines, so I would like my list to be the only thing queried. I would like to use a list (I have a separate data sheet with the column) of about 40 or so unique numerical values and use that in the filter for a custom ...

  • Can I control text size in a word cloud inside a dashboard container?

Hi all,I have a dashboard with a data filter, a map, and a word cloud that looks like image 1 below. I have two formatting issues with the word cloud I'd like to fix. First, by design, when I make different selections using the data filter, the subset of records that are shown in the map changes and the word cloud applies only to that selection. However, when I change the data filter selection, th...

  • Fantasy Baseball League

I am in a 16 team fantasy baseball league. Each week we tabulate totals for home runs, batting average, stolen bases, wins, saves, era, etc. If my team has the most home runs, I win that category for the week. We track 10 statistics so after each week I may have a final score of 6-3-1. My question is how can I use JMP to check what my score would have been if I had played each of the other 14 team...

  • Generation of overdispersed poisson count data (vs gamma poisson)

Hello, I would like to reconcile the parametrization used in the Random Gamma Poisson(lambda, sigma)with the over-dispersion parameter as estimated in generalized linear model platform. Take for instance the attached table. Here the generating function is  Random Gamma Poisson(exp(1+3*:X1),10)Running glm with poisson/log + overdispersion I obtain: Overdispersion = 6.09.    Is there any way to link...
