  • Simulate data in Functional Data Explorer

HiI would like to simulate curve data using Direct Functional PCA from Functional Data Explorer. There is a simulator within Direct Functional PCA which is great! At a closer look, the simulator is simulating points (one can choose the number of points in advance) on the x axis and not separate curves. I tried different tricks to get separate curves, but with no luck. Therefore, I am wondering if t...

  • Save As HTML

  • Inverse prediction of sample with error in y

Hello,I'm working with calibration curves (Using the add-in Calibration Curves - JMP User Community) and would like to output a CI for a measured value. I understand how to make use of the inverse prediction function, what I don't know how to do is how to incorporate multiple measurements (triplicates) into my analysis. In short, how do I account for the variability in Y when doing a "Y by X" inve...

  • Facing Problem with JMP Course

Hello My name is Ridhi and I'm currently learning JMP. Unfortunately, I've been having some trouble accessing the course videos. I've tried different browsers, but the same error keeps popping up. Learning JMP is really important for me because I need to analyze data for my sister IVF Centre. I would be really grateful if anyone has any suggestions or insights on how to fix this error so that I ca...

  • PLS Interpretation

Hello, I'm not very familiar with the partial least squares model and so I'm having trouble interpreting the results in jmp. For  example, if I open the "Prostate cancer" table available in JMP's sample index, and run the attached script "Fit Partial Least Squares":  How can I interpret these coefficients below? Are they the coefficients of the "factors" variables created in the factor regressions...

  • Mixture design with constants

Hello Community, I have a short question concerning the use of mixture designs with 6 ingredients varying and 2 ingredients fixed constant: I forgot to set the sum of the mixture to less than 1 ( Mixture % = 1 - constant 1 - constant 2). So right now when I sum all my ingredients, it makes slightly higher than 1.  I already did all the modeling in this way and realized this just after. If I set th...

  • Lilliefors Confidence Bounds in Q-Q Plot (Normal Quantile Plot)

Hi,I would like to know the theory behind Lilliefors Confidence Bounds of Q-Q plot (in JMP 16). I did not find any related resources after checking JMP online documentation and  doing research over the internet. It would be helpful if anyone can provide any related statistical concepts or coding. Thanks!

  • How do I block for "month" in a 2^(4-1) fractional factorial design?

I have 4 factors & plan on doing 8 runs. I'm wondering if I can block 4 of the runs for the 1 month I run those experiments, and 4 of the runs the next month that I run the experiment - basically 2 blocks of size 4. Would adding month as a blocking factor mean I now have 5 factors in my design? How would that look in a model & what would that alias structure look like?  Somewhat related - I'd like...

  • Mindset when interpreting mixed model results

Hello, I have recently been exploring the use of mixed models as opposed to simpler fixed effects models. I have a few questions that I haven't found clear answers to by reading documentation. 1. What exactly are the variance components of the random effects?Assuming the mixed model is: Mixed model: Response = intercept + fixed effects + random effects + residual error- If I understand correctly, ...

  • Vector Modeling and Related Analysis Capabilities

hello JMP team ,  I am curious to learn more on the vector data type modeling and any associated analysis on that . Are there examples of sample vector datasets ? Once such dataset exists, could clustering techniques work on them and how would they work specifically ?I assume they would at the very least extract statistical aggregation from each vector and use these for clustering. Is there any mo...

  • Dendrograms in JMP: show scale, show categories without the categories dendrogram and setup UPGMA+dice as statistics.

HiDoes anybody know how to get the scale of the dendrograms? Scale can be setup in different ways, but it is not shown by default in the output.Does anybody know how to get the categories labels shown without performing the categories dendrogram?Does anybody know how to perform Dice+UPGMA dendrograms? Those are basics statistics, and I can’t find them.Thank you very much if someone helps JMP 17.2....

  • Could JMP optimize factors with uncertainty?
