  • How to add an average line to a bar plot

    I am trying to add an average line to a bar plot and create a plot similar to the following picture: So far I can only plot the bars and  when I am adding an extra column for average values to add to the plot, they will be plotted as an extra bar plot next to the original and I don't know how to change the format for this specific data set. Any help is appreciated.

  • Curlicue Fractals

    Here is a fun example, if you like math. You have probably heard of fractals. There are many fractal sets today. One of these sets is called curlicue fractals. You can learn more about them in this MathWorld article. The article uses Mathematica and the Wolfram Language, which have many dedicated functions for lots of math, but you can build your own fractal demonstration in a JMP data table:    ...

  • Optimize "for each row"

    Hello, I have this script on the Big Class table. On large tables, it takes too much time. Is there some other quicker way?     AgesList = {13,14}; for each row(dt, if(Contains(AgesList ,dt:Name("Age"))>0,dt:Name("height")=-1));     Thanks.

  • Row selection by value labels

    I would like to script a row selection by the value labels in a column.  As an example, the Big Class data set has a value label where F=Female and M=Male.  As far I can tell, I cannot write JSL to do a column selection by "Female".  Does anyone know how to do this in JSL?  My bigger issue is that I have several values that have the same label, but instead of trying to select all of those values i...

  • Latent Class Analysis: there was a problem fitting the specified model.

    Hi all,I want to perform the Latent Class Analysis. When I do this, I can get the results, but there is a message; 'there is a problem fitting the specified model. It is likely that the specified model is not identifiable. Try fitting a model with 0 or fewer clusters'. In this case, Can I consider the presented results valid? If not, what should I do? I enter the number 0 in 'Nemuber of Clusters', ...

  • ROC curve analysis: sensitivity at fixed specificity

    Dear all,I'm a novice of JMP and I'm stunned with its great potential. I ask your help to solve my problem. I made a ROC analysis on a data set, and I need to calculate, based on ROC curve, sensitivity at fixed 80%, 95% and 99% specificity. The software doesn't seem to provide this option. I know I can approximate these values looking at the cut-offs in the ROC table, however it's only an approxim...

  • Saving an Empty Table with JSL

    I'm opening several tables from a database, and then saving those into CSV files. The script works fine as long as the table has data, but empty tables (which I also want to save to show that they're empty) give me this error:

    Data table is empty.

    The file could not be saved.
    Unable to save file.{2}

    I can manually save the tables in JMP format, but not as a text export. Any ideas?

  • Difference between std error in "Parameter Estimates" and "Least Squares Means Table"?

    I am running mixed effects models and have noticed that the standard error for an effect in the "Parameter Estimates" table is different from the standard error reported in the Least Squares Means table for the same effect. How are they calculated differently? Thanks!
