What is the best approach to perform differencing for a time series data with seasonality and a shock event? What to do if you can't find the differencing (d)?

view all learning resourcesHello all,I have recently been working with stability analysis (Degradation) and am running up against a wall with what should be fairly simple (I think). I have a dataset from multiple lots and the data are poolable (valid for common slope, different intercepts). I am trying to back calculate what release values would need to be to still be within the lower spec limit at X months. I have the sl...
Hi everyone, I am designing a new process and I want to calculate the likelyhood of components in the process (such as pumps, etc) to break down. This in order to determine how to manage maintenance, excess stock etc. How would I need to go about this?
Hello, I am using JMP 16.2.0 to calculate Reliability Growth and am trying to understand the math behind the profiler confidence intervals on the Crow AMSAA models. The help article states that: "The delta method is applied to this expression to obtain an estimate of its variance. This estimate is used to construct a 95% Wald-based confidence interval. The resulting confidence limits are then tran...
I got this result in cumulative damage step stress - is b1 a threshold?
Could one verify certain functions in JMP by comparing them to equivalent information for a similar dataset in NIST? These functions may include regression, confidence intervals for a dataset, and calibration curves. If so, how can one find/download datasets (along with the results of the functions) from NIST to use for verifying the functions?
Dear all,I'd like to know if the free JMP trial version includes the cumulative damage platform.Thanks.
Hi, can you explain how JMP handles Group homogeneity tests (Logrank, Wilcoxon, Peto-Peto) with different type of event censoring? Are there any differences in methods used by JMP to calculate those tests under different event censoring? I made a 2 populations comparisons in JMP platform Life Distribution - Compare Groups, using same dataset, but with different event censoring definition. For unce...
I am facing the following problem:I have a bunch of factors that are ingredients of a solution:Ingredient A (2 - 20%)Ingredient B (0 - 4%)Ingredient C (5 - 20%)whereas behind Ingredient B and C a selection of categorial Ingredients exists.Further, I have several process factors:Pressure 200 - 400Runs 2 - 4 Responses:StabilityCosts Aim of that DOE is to find out which is the best formulation with c...
I tried to do “Fit life by X” (fit TTF by voltage), but in the output, somehow “nonparametric overlay” did not show up. I was hoping to see the probability of failure vs time at 80V, 50V, and 15V (use condition), but that plot was not included in the output. I attached the report here. If anyone can take a look and point out went wrong, that would be great. Thank you!
Definitely, JMP is Not a Spreadsheet . And that's great!!
Besides this difference, there are other places where Jmp doesn't do/behave/produce what a newbie / innocent Jmp user expects.
If a user knows these issues and the remedies and workarounds - he/she can
a) save a lot of time
b) be safe from data loss
c) be sure that the results are as expected.

Referring to Rules: Stepwise Regression Control Panel (jmp.com) and Example of the Combine Rule : JMP Help Could somebody please further elaborate on the 2 tests when considering the entry for a term. It would also be immensely helpful if the explanation was based on stepwise backward selection. "Calculates p-values for two separate tests when considering entry for a term that has precedents. The ...
