  • Evaluate performance linear fit VS log fit

Hi all,   I was wondering if you have any suggestions on how to evaluate the performance of a linear model and log model (i.e. only response logarithmic transformed). I am trying to evaluate which model is better in terms of predictability and accuracy. My first guess was to compare R-squared values and RMSE values, however I seems that two models have different units and therefore cannot be direc...

  • How to Exclude Random Missing point before performing PCA.

Hi,   How to exclude missing values from the dataset before analysis. These are random missing values due to instrument malfunction. I don't want to impute my data. I have explored the 'Explore Missing Value' but that didn't help because that changes the interpretation of my PCA results.   Is there any other way to do so?   Thank you, Beginner_9

  • Log RMSE to linear RMSE

Hi all,   I am trying to compare the RMSE values of a linear fit and log fit model. However, to my understanding the RMSE for the linear fit is in the same units as the response (for instance MPG), but the log fit has log MPG as unit. Is there a possibility within JMP that allows the calculation of RMSE in the original scale?   Kind regards, Janneman

  • Looking for suggestion to use the right JMP tool

Thanks in advance for your help. I have an event history for Product1 (worth a few years). I have another product history (Product2) of just one year. Question: How do we estimate the probability Product2 resembles Product1 as time goes by? Is there a method/theory that can be used for such an analysis? If so, can we do the analysis in JMP?

  • Repairable system failure prediction

Hello,Here is a general question for JMP experts:
say I have data on a system that fails with various failure modes. The data contains dates of repair on each components repair. I I know how to analyze this data for reliability as shown in video here:
