  • neural network and control chart

    hello
Is a neural network affected by outliers?
I want to design a Phase I control chart based on a neural network, but after each removal of outliers and re-modeling of the neural network, the accuracy of the model decreases.
    What solution do you suggest?

  • Measuring for Trends in Numeric Ordinal Scores Measured on Lots over Time

What is the best statistical measurement technique to monitor ordinal data so that we can detect trends in the data over time?  I have individual odor panel data (y-axis) for each lot of product (x-axis) produced over time and would like to detect a trend change. Details: (1) 2 odor panelists score each lot of product produced, (2) two panelists are random from a pool of trained panelists, (3) odo...

  • A script works in JMP PRO but not in JMP LIVE to query data and add spec limits to JMP LIVE control chart

    Hi,

I wrote a script that 1) queries a table(myDT) to build a control chart on and 2) another table(specLimitsTable) and 3) a loop that takes data from the second table to set spec limits on table 1.  It works just fine in JMP PRO and steps 1) and 2) work fine in JMP LIVE but when I add the 3rd part it says failed to regenerate when I go to refresh my data.  The JSL that works in JMP PRO is below:...

  • How to quantify the advantage of using JMP over other tools to convince the management to consider it for usage?

Dear community,  we all know how great JMP is: efficient, interactive, powerful, ... How would you make others, mainly management (the team itself is interested)  to consider using it? Especially when there are almost free available alternative software (incomparable with JMP) and exactly for that reason the management wants to continue going with it. The argument: "It is great because I know it" ...

  • How to group/seperate a correlation plot by a variable?

Following is an example similar to my actual data case. I am interested in looking at the correlation between two process variables known to be dependent on each other. Especially, I would like to understand the wafer number dependence of the correlation. For my actual data case, unlike the example case here,  the x-axis variable is bi-modal on the wafer number (first say n wafers sit on one mode, ...

  • Is there a way to get Westgard rules to apply to user defined control in Levey Jennings?

I have a script that runs two variations of a Levey Jennings, one using data set determined 2 sigma control limits which then correctly applies Westgard rules and the other with user defined defined limits that does not apply Westgard rules based on these inputs. Is there a setting to get Westgard rules to identify user defined limits as the 2 standard deviation calculation?

  • Use Limits Table In Distributions Platform

Hi, is it possible to use a limits table to load specifications grouped by some factor in platforms other than Process Screening? Ideally I'd like to use the limits table in the distributions platform. Thanks in advance, Alicia

  • Could JMP optimize factors with uncertainty?

  • Caution: Places where Jmp does something unexpected

Definitely, JMP is Not a Spreadsheet . And that's great!! Besides this difference, there are other places where Jmp doesn't do/behave/produce what a newbie / innocent Jmp user expects.
If a user knows these issues and the remedies and workarounds -  he/she can
    a) save a lot of time b) be safe from data loss c) be sure that the results are as expected.

  • Type 1 MSA for microscope and Offset.

Hello Everyone,I was looking for someone who could help me with a dilemma I'm facing with respect to an MSA for a microscope. The specific problem is that i do not have tolerance I can input for my type 1 analysis. Resolution used is 5 microns per pixel, the accuracy cannot be below 5 microns. This is the standard resolution for particles starting from 50 microns. I have attached the Linearity stu...
