  • How can I perform Machine Learning Modeling using JMP18 Python Script?

    Hello,
I am working on creating a LightGBM model using a JMP Python script (JMP18).
My current setup is as follows:
      - X variables: "train1.csv" file, columns D1 through D1776
      - Y variable: "y1.csv" file, "Activity" column  - Prediction target "Activity": "test1.csv" file, columns D1 through D1776
      - Note: Original file "train_original.csv" file, columns Activity through D1776. from Kaggle.com  (Pr...

  • kernel control chart

    Hello.
my question is how can I fit a kernel density plot for my predictive model residuals in a way that first identifies and removes outliears data points, and then presents the final kernel plot with no outliears data along with its confidence bounds and shape?

  • reference for computation of bounded variance components in mixed effect model

Hello,I was looking for a reference explaining how the variance components of a mixed effect model are computed with the "unbounded variance components" option unthicked. Thanks! PY

  • model screening

    Hello.
The question I have is that I have a dataset, and I want to separate 30% of this dataset for testing. I want to try different models using model screening, but for the validation part of my models, I want all my models to use exactly the same test dataset for validation.
What should I do for this purpose?

  • Multi component, multi supplier and multi concentration DoE design

I am trying to create a DoE design in which I have 3 supplement types and each supplement have 3 different suppliers. I would like to test more than 3 concentrations for each supplement. So I would need to use discrete numeric design, however this would mean that JMP's suggestion on the ideal concentration wouldn't be outside of these predetermined numbers. Another issue I seem to be facing with i...

  • Model Screening: Neural network / K-fold crossvalidation

I need to use model screening to fit a model by Neural network. the default setup for NN is 3TanH. but when I change setup in model launch ( For example: 1TanH 1 Linear 1 Gaussian), it shows me an alert: " Note: The data table has changed. The output no longer represents the data. TO synchronize the output with the data, select "sync to data table changes" from the platform menu."How can I change ...

  • Finding the perfect lightweight hiking food

This rabbit hole is just for fun: I found a huge spreadsheet that lists data for thousands of potential hiking foods. My question is: What is the most lightweight mixture of foods that you can bring camping that has the ideal balance of macronutrients? (60% carbs, 20% protein, 20% fats).  Thoughts:1. You want to minimize the weighted average g/calories.2. I'll assume you can get micronutrients by ...
