  • Decision Tree Induction

JMP V.15.02ProHello, I have used a Decision Tree Induction analysis, and I have a quick question.  I understand that the Log Worth is related to the predictability of the analysis, but what does the 'Difference' value represent?  Thanks in advance,PhDer

  • JSL, delete a column if there's only 1 'group', labeled in another column?

Curious about this. I've got a dt with several thousand columns that I'm scripting some cleansing for further analysis. The data set is process data, where each row is a unique process run from a given machine. Some machines don't report out all the full list of sensors, so I'm stuck with a few hundred columns only coming from a single machine. I'd like to purge these, as I can't do any statistica...

  • JMP selection shape -- Want a circle/oval instead of rectangle

This seems like a simple but important feature -- how can I change my select shape to an oval instead of rectangle?  I know there is the lasso tool, but i want it restricted to an oval.

  • Bootstrapping in JMP 15

In JMP 14, you could right click on the values in the output to obtain bootstrap confidence intervals.   However, in JMP 15, this no longer appears to be an option.   Does anyone know if JMP removed the bootstrap option completely or if they moved it to some other location?

  • Refitting a lasso regression at single penalty

Scenario: I use validation data to tune my lasso penalty and now I want to refit to all of my data (training + validation) specifying that optimized penalty term. I can't see anyway to do that within the generalized regression platform. What is recommended here?

  • What does it mean when the solution path for Elastic Net is not single-valued?

Dear JMP Community,   (W10, 64-bit, JMP Pro 15.2.1)   I am running a model to assess the active predictors. I am doing this by using the Autovalidation add-in to generate a Null Factor for my data. I then use the GenReg platform to find estimates for each possible X-factor and then Bootstrap those estimates to get a better assessment of the contributions to the response. I came across a very stran...
