  • 24-deep well plates with hard to change factors

Hi, I am setting up an experiment using 24-deep well plates, with 5 factors, among which 2 are temperature and time. These are hard to change factors, since the deep-well plate has to go to the freezer or to the heater for certain amount of time, while other 3 parameters can vary between deep wells across the plate. I was just wondering if setting up a DoE using hard-to-change factors and ending u...

  • Why is the power of quadratic factors in DoE that low

I have created several experimental designs, including ones with quadratic effects. I’ve noticed that the power of these quadratic effects is always relatively low. Why is that the case? What can be done about it? Regards Klaus

  • Randomization with Blocks

Hello I have a Definitive Screening Design and, as JMP suggests, I selected blocks with center points to estimate quadratic effects. This results in two blocks (Block 1 and Block 2). Now I want to randomize. JMP suggests randomizing only within the blocks. I believe this is correct. However, the blocks are then not interleaved during execution (e.g., 1 1, then 2 2, then again 1 1, then 2 2, etc.),...

Hello, Can covariates also be used in connection with a Definitive Screening Design, or is that only possible, for example, in a Custom Design? Regards Klaus

  • What are the best practices for exporting JMP graphs so they retain high resolution ?

Hi Mates, My name is Dheeraj Hinduja . I basically lives in Sudan. I want to know the best practices for exporting JMP graphs for high-resolution use (e.g., in publications or large presentations).Which export format (e.g., EMF, PNG, or PDF) and specific settings within the 'Save As' dialogue or Journal maintain the highest quality and prevent resolution loss? Please share your workflow tips!

  • Issue processing DoE data

Hi,   I'm a relatively new user to JMP pro, but have been using it as a very useful tool for my PhD research.    Recently I have been truing to optimize a process doing a RSM using the JMP pro Easy DoE tool. I have generated a table of experiments it designed and collected the data from them, unfortunately the original DoE was lost so I could not input the data directly in the Easy DoE program.   ...

  • Sample size for Reliability Life Test

I have used the interval explorer for parametric reliability life test planning for sample size calculation of accelerated life test. Please can someone confirm if the sample size returned is the total sample size or sample size per stress levels? Assuming I have 3 temperature levels, do I use 75 samples per temperature level or 25?

  • help to get R squared predicted

Hello!I installed a script from a community response regarding the calculation of R²pred, as shown in the image below (I'm using JMP 18 pro): (link da resposta do @erich_gundlach https://community.jmp.com/t5/JMP-Add-Ins/Predicted-R-square-calculator/ta-p/39927)  In PRESS, R²pred didn't appear. (Press is low because I haven't reduced the model yet, don't worry =))  I really need to show these R²pre...
