  • Margin of error of predictor screening

Hi!I was wondering if I can get the margin of error of a predictor screening model I run to be able to compare the portion of the predictors across different groups within one sample -by running the model "By" the different groups- and understand if the differences are true differences or not -similarly to the concept of statistically significant differences in research/ survey data-.Does this mak...

  • Order of addition experiments, simultaneous addition, and delayed addition

Hello - I am working on an process that has an obvious order of addition effect. I have a plugin from JMP that uses a pairwise ordering scheme that can be plugged in as a covariate factor. But, one of the components is a powder, so there is the choice to predissolve it in the solvent being used, or to add it directly as a powder. Also, there could be some benefit to having some components simultan...

  • No retrospective Parameter Power calculation available in Split-Plot analysis?

In the analysis of a typical DOE (using Standard Least Squares), there is a possibility to view the retrospective Parameter Power(Estimates > Parameter Power). However, when analysing a Split-Plot DOE (using REML), this option is not available.I can imagine it is more complex to calculate, but would have expected it to be available somehow.

  • How to know whether my choice design is orthogonal? (Validity of choice experime

For my master thesis I made a Discrete Choice Experminent in JMP. The following design roled out of JMP (with 4 attributes, 3 levels each, and 16 choice sets)  When I checked the validity of the design I made a correlation matrix of dummy variables. The attributes Gar2/Gar3 (warranty) and EEO 450,525 and 600 (efficiency of energy conversion) correlates with each other. Is this correlation to high ...

  • DoE with replicates on the extremities

Hello, I would appreciate support on the following topic:- I pretend to perform a Full Factorial DoE with 2 center points and replicates on the extremities. When I set up my design I chose 1 replicate (in the tab below) and then the DoE appears one replicate for each experience. Is it possible to set up just one replicate for each one of the extreme conditions? How? Thank you in advance,Helena

  • How to put the mixture sum below 1?

In the Jmp16 version there was a button in the specific mixture experiments where you could put the mixture sum below 1.In the Jmp17 version I cannot find this button. Could you please help me out with this issue?

  • Response Screening Effect Size - logistic

Related to the previous post How to get "Effect size" column with Response Screening functionality , I am also wondering how effect size in the response screening platform is calculated, specifically for categorical Y vs continuous X.  JMP help shows:  "When Y is categorical and X is continuous, the effect size is the square root of the average ChiSquare value for the whole model test."  Running b...

  • DoE with two-choice experiments, continuous response variable

We want to rank the preference  of population of animals for n different recipes. Recipes are tested in two-choice assays, where groups of over 100 individuals can choose one choice or the other. Preference for the group is computed as a preference index, a continuous variable that is between -1 and 1. Is there an experimental design that would help reduce the number of combinations to test in ord...

  • Sub-sampling data analysis in JMP

In Biology (Plant Sci. and Agriculture) usually we have sub-sampling data for replicates. It's very difficult to analyze these data in commonly use Stat S/W (SPSS/Minitab) because MSS(Error) is calculating wrongly.  Without taking averages of samsamples, the easiest S/W for this is using JMP and I need some assistance for this. I've found very useful Youtube video about subsampling in JMP  (CRD: S...
