• principal component formulae

  What is the relationship, if any, between the loadings of variables, with respect to a principal component, and the coefficients of the variables in the formulae for each principal component?  I would have expected the loadings to correspond to the coefficients, but this does not seem to be the case.

• Fit two-level screening doesn't give the same result when replicated. Why?

  Hello, I noticed something odd recently when running the "fit two-level screening" analysis in JMP under the DOE:Classical:Two-level Screening menu. With the exact same data table, the analysis does not give the exact same results (see below for three examples).
