  • Mixed Model Trouble

What is the issue with this data? I can't get any output for the fixed effects tests.I am performing a mixed model of a randomized complete block design. Rep is a random factor while S Rate and N Rate are continuous variables. I would like to see if S Rate or N Rate impact yield. Yield is also a continuous variable.   I can get output when I run it as a standard least squares with the reml method,...

  • How to set the response limits using a variable in a JMP script

Hello, I would like to use a JMP script to automatically set the desirability for a JMP column, based on the statistics of the column itself. I would like to do this because I have multiple metrics and I would like to combine them in a single desirability metric using the JMP profiler platform. I am a JMP 16.1 user.Unfortunately the following code does not work - the response limits are set but th...

  • JSL Scripting Index to add all columns

Hi, Does JMP have any syntax or index to add all columns instead of manually typing all the column names?  Thanks

  • How to assign Multiple values to SQL variable

Hi, I'm trying to input multiple values from the jmp file into SQL variable. Something doesn't seem to work User will input the following file and the columns values are stored in the variable specVal .I declared @ SPEC = ^specVal^ (Contains 3 values ) in SQL  Something doesn't seem to be correct.   Names Default To Here( 1 ); Clear Globals(); Clear Log(); specVal = ""; NW = New Window( "DLT Data...

  • DOE - editing Custom Design dialogue of an existing table

Hello, I created a DOE table which had a minimum # of runs as 44. The table has 8 factors (7 continuous and 1 discrete) and 3 responses. However, when I re-enter the DOE dialogue, press "back" and edit my factors something strange happens. Adding a new continuous factor actually decreases the minimum # of runs to 10. How could this be true? Thanks in advance.

  • Pie Chart Percentage Spacing

I have a pie chart that will naturally have some smaller percentages.Does anybody know how I can space out these labels?  I can't seem to do it manually.  This is a chart I will be creating in JSL.

    Thank you!

  • Adding constraints to design with discrete factors

Hello,I am trying to add constraints to design with 4 discrete factors (X1,X2,X3,X4), where all the factors have 3 levels. What is the best way to add constraint to specify that three factors (X2,X3,X4) should add up to 97%? I am assuming I'll have to add disallowed combinations script option for this but not sure about the script.

  • Why JMP Neural Networks Don't Need Data Normalization

When the data value vary widely, the data standardization process must be done first. Why does the JMP neural network do not need data standardization process?

  • DoE with two-choice experiments, continuous response variable

We want to rank the preference  of population of animals for n different recipes. Recipes are tested in two-choice assays, where groups of over 100 individuals can choose one choice or the other. Preference for the group is computed as a preference index, a continuous variable that is between -1 and 1. Is there an experimental design that would help reduce the number of combinations to test in ord...

  • Sub-sampling data analysis in JMP

In Biology (Plant Sci. and Agriculture) usually we have sub-sampling data for replicates. It's very difficult to analyze these data in commonly use Stat S/W (SPSS/Minitab) because MSS(Error) is calculating wrongly.  Without taking averages of samsamples, the easiest S/W for this is using JMP and I need some assistance for this. I've found very useful Youtube video about subsampling in JMP  (CRD: S...
