  • A question for "(Eval(Eval Expr(Sum(Expr(sumCol))))== N Items(sumCol)=> 1" statement.

Dear Sir, I am debugging an if statement like the one below.  I am wondering what does it evaluate on and if it would generate "1" from the unknown state of "(Eval(Eval Expr(Sum(Expr(sumCol))))== N Items(sumCol)"Please let me know. Thanks,John

  • How do I import data from excel?

Hello everybody, I've just begun to use JMP. I'm using JMP on  Windows. I'm trying to import my data from an Excel table, but I don't know why JMP treat numbers as characters, this way I can't handle that variables as continuos.
Does anyone know how to solve that problem?
Thank you in advance for your consideration

  • DoE augmentation

I have a main effect screening design via custom design platform. Now I need to augment the design to model the curvature. There seems to be two options: (1) add axial points along with center points and (2) use Augment button and select RSM to add interaction and quadratic terms.  Option 1 seems for central composite design. Can anyone tell me whether there is any particular reasons to use option...

  • ELI5: D/I/A Optimal designs

Hi JMP Community, ELI5 stands for Explain like I'm 5 years old.  I need some support explaining the differences between D-Optimal, I-Optimal and A-Optimal designs to colleagues which do not have strong mathematical backgrounds and cannot easily intuit the definitions in the JMP manual (I don't have a strong mathematical background either!). Is there a way to explain what each of the D-Optimal, I-O...

  • Cut dataset

    Hello,
I would like to cut my 70% vs 30% dataset to have a learning dataset and a test dataset for my statistical models
I use this method:  And I change the 0.7 in 0.3 to have 30%
However when I do that, the dataset does not separate into two parts: 70% vs 30%, it takes 70% then 30%
This means that in the dataset 30% there may be data from the dataset containing 70%Is there a way to cut into two part...

  • Why don't I get the All Levels Comparison report in MaxDiff?

I have survey results using the MaxDiff design from a popular platform.  The results below were directly downloaded from the platform as a csv file. From the tutorial, the output of the All Level Comparison report is a heat map.  Why am I getting the below? And for that matter, why am I not getting a proper report?  NB: I have 300+ subjects, 18 choice sets with 5 choices per set, 27000+ rows.  I u...

  • Full Factorial Analysis with added blocking

Dear JMP Community, Initially, I have designed the following experiment using full factorial - 3 factor (2 continuous + 1 categorical) - process chamber being the categorical factor. For the process of concern, it is already known that there will be chamber-to-chamber variation, but all chambers must be operable within a certain specification limit. Hence, the initial decision to include the chamb...

  • Sub-sampling data analysis in JMP

In Biology (Plant Sci. and Agriculture) usually we have sub-sampling data for replicates. It's very difficult to analyze these data in commonly use Stat S/W (SPSS/Minitab) because MSS(Error) is calculating wrongly.  Without taking averages of samsamples, the easiest S/W for this is using JMP and I need some assistance for this. I've found very useful Youtube video about subsampling in JMP  (CRD: S...
