  • Mixture DOE - how to limit number of ingredients in final formula?

Dear All,I am using JMP for the first time and I'm trying to run a DOE with 6 mixture factors (A, B1, B2, B3, B4, B5) and 1 categorical factor. This is a chemical formulation and I only can use a maximum of 2 ingredients of type B, i.e., the final formula must have just 2 or a maximum of 3 ingredients (A + 1 type of B or A + 2 types of B).
Sum of all type B must make up between 1% and 40% of the fi...

  • How do I make a DoE for a mix of factors I have a physical model for (custom nonlinear model) and factors I dont (traditional factorial model)

Hello - I know you can make non-linear custom DoEs. However, I can't seem to find a source, even a theoretical discussion in a journal article, that shows how to handle a sort of hybrid model, wherein there is a physical model that is known that relates a response with one of the factors being studied, but the model does not incorporate other factors that are under study and known to affect the sy...

  • Ratios in JMP

Hello, I would like to question what is the best way to insert ratios in JMP. It seems to me that 52:48 and 53:47 and so on doesn't quite work for conclusive data analysis... The purpose is to use them for correlation coefficient calculations.   Thank you in advance!Helena

  • Analysing 2-factor 2-level design as if it were 4 different treatment design

Hello! Just curious why we see different results in such cases. Here we have a classic 2-factor 2-level factorial design which we can analyze using Nominal regression/logistic regression.  Analysis shows that only interaction is significant :  However, if we transform this data as if there were 4 factors A1, B1, C (A1*B1), D (A0*B0),  then we will see that main effects are significant.
    How can we ...

  • Filter Col Selector usage

I'm trying to use a Filter Col Selector but I can't get it to return the selected value. names default to here(1); dt = Open( "$SAMPLE_DATA/Blood Pressure.jmp" ); nw=new window("test", <<modal, <<return result, v list box(var1=Filter Col Selector(dt), H List Box( Button Box( "OK" ), Button Box( "Cancel" ) )) ); In this example var1 doesn't return the column name that was selected.Than...

  • Permutation procedure for randomized block design

I'm interested in conducting a permutation analysis. I have three treatments, with a randomized block design with seven blocks. I'd like to do a permutation procedure to test both the F value and for posthoc pairwise comparisons.

  • Define Factor Constraints DOE Custom Design by Disallowed Combinations Script

Hello together,Sorry in advance, I just startet using JMP. I have struggle adding a factor constraint script to my DOE. My constraint are as follows:Factor A^2 * Factor B <=200Unfortunately I'm not able to write the script like this, because I always get the JMP Alert: Invalid disallowed combinations script. See log for details. Where ist this log and do I have to add something?Best regards

  • Sub-sampling data analysis in JMP

In Biology (Plant Sci. and Agriculture) usually we have sub-sampling data for replicates. It's very difficult to analyze these data in commonly use Stat S/W (SPSS/Minitab) because MSS(Error) is calculating wrongly.  Without taking averages of samsamples, the easiest S/W for this is using JMP and I need some assistance for this. I've found very useful Youtube video about subsampling in JMP  (CRD: S...
