  • Selecting Cells based on color

    Hello,

After running the outlier analysis tool in JMP, I color coded the cells that contained outliers. How can I select all these cells and replace them with the name, "outlier"? The next step, would be to name all the other cells "normal".

Let me know if this is feasible. A snapshot of the datasheet in appended in this post.

  • Table: sort by multiple columns?

How can I sort a table by multiple columns.

In a data table, when I select multiple columns and sort the table via right click: the table is always sorted from "left to right" - the sort column on the left is the dominant one
... even if I change the order in which I select the columns. Via JSL, I can adjust the order:dt << Sort(By( :sex, :age )); dt << Sort(By( :age, :sex ));How to do the trick ...

  • how to count the frequency of error code in a column in a data base

    Hello,

I am trying to create a Pareto diagram in JMP, but in my data table, I don't have the frequency of code errors (which are defined as a list of integers from 0 to 1010). I am looking for a way to count these directly in JMP as a new column.
I found the "Row > Count" function in the formula section, but I don't know how to use it

    Best regards,
    Thank you.

  • How does one perform Bitwise operations in JMP formulas?

Hi, I imagine this is simply an issue in which I am not finding the correct formula option but how does one perform basic bitwise operations in a JMP formula? e.g. Here's an example Python example that I would like to replicate in JMP: lambda x: ((((x>>1)&0x1))<<2) thanks, Ross

  • Storing data tables as metadata (table variables) JSL

Table variables are used to store metadata within a data table (JSL doc, general doc) However, they seem to be limited to variables as strings only (see code below). What would be the best option to store a data table as a table variable? Names Default To Here( 1 ); dt = Open( "$SAMPLE_DATA/Big Class.jmp" ); dt_metadata = Open( "$SAMPLE_DATA/Solubility.jmp" ); dt << Set Table Variable( "dt_user...

  • Is there a way to change the defaults for the Summary platform?

Hi All,   Does any know if it's possible to change the defaults of the Summary platform (Tables > Summary)?   By default, Summary sets the new column names to be stat(column) and checks that the new data table is linked to the original data table.  For much of the work I do, I don't like these features and wish I didn't have to change them every time I run a Summary. I know it can be useful at tim...
