  • Graph > Graph builder > Addition of spline 'smoother'

Good morning,  I lack the statistical information on the 'confidence of fit' tick box provided together with the spline function smoother. 1) how is this confidence of fit calculated? 2) which methodology is used to establish the 'confidence of fit' and which alpha or confidence interval is applied? Below, the script of the graph i am currently using, just for reference.  Many thanks in advance,  ...

  • Unable to fit a 4PL curve after applying weighting (1/y^2)

I am attempting to analyze a data set that utilizes raw signal points (y, response) and concentration (x, predictor formula) for an ELISA type assay using a logistic 4P model on the data. Once I apply a 1/y^2 weighting to the raw signal points column, the graph can no longer fit giving an R = ~0.45. This same plate has been analyzed with another software okay, so I am wondering what is happening h...

  • Cannot select/use 4PL Rodbard curve fit

Hi there, I am trying to fit a dose-response curve to the Rodbard 4PL model. I have 3 columns, my Response, Regressor, and a weighting. The option for Rodbard is greyed out and I cannot select it. all other 4PL fits are available so I'm not sure why the one I need is not available?  Kindly, TK

  • SVEM Prediction formula

I made a SVEM analysis and would like to use the formula to comupute process control ranges using the Design Space Profiler. I saved the prediction formula and  can't save a prediction formula with process parameters, only a Mean formula here below?  Is  it possible to get an expression as a function of the process parameters that can be used in the design space profiler? Or can I use the Maximum...

  • Calculating the missing values in AHP matrix

Calculating the missing values in AHP matrix I have an incomplete AHP matrix, and I want to define the missing data using JMP, which method of screening values do you advice me to use, normal imputation,  SVD imputation, or RPCA imputation. My second question as one part of the AHP matrix is equal to 1 divided on the second part. How can I tell JMP that to screen only the half of missed value whic...

  • Creating a separate Y axis for each panel of my bar chart

Hello everyone! Does anyone know how to create individual Y axis for a bar chart that consists of two different panels? I'd like to adjust the scale on the top panel but I haven't been able to do so... I've tried dragging two different variables onto the Y axis. While that works for the axis' scale, it does weird things for my error bars, since it combines the standard deviation of both panels ont...

  • QQ Plot behavior under factor coding and no-intercept model

Hi everyone, When I fit a model in JMP using factor coding and set the model to no intercept, I noticed that the residual normal quantile plot (QQ plot) behaves differently compared to the version with an intercept. Specifically, the residuals and the fitted “robust fit line” in the QQ plot seem to shift vertically, and even after centering the residuals, the slope of the fitted line changes sligh...

  • How do I get z-scores for each protein in the Longitudinal dataset? (JMP Pro 18 Free Student Edition)

For context, I am running analyses on a proteomics experiment. I have two datasets: Intraday (comparing AM to PM), and Longitudinal (comparing Day 0 to Day 30 to Day 90) for protein concentration. For Intraday, I have 600 proteins I am looking at. For Longitudinal, I have 68. I want to find out the magnitude of change between the time points for each protein, so I am trying to find z-scores. I am ...

  • SPC Sampling Rate Determination

I am trying to determine an appropriate sampling plan for a manufacturing process which has a dimensional in process control (a length). There is a USL and LSL with a target. Cpk and Ppk are both coming in at >2 on a sample size of >2000 units across two mfg. lots.

We sampled at a rate of ~5%. I’m trying to figure out what the minimum sample rate is to ensure quality (95/95 confidence coverage). H...
