  • How to build linear or non linear models with constrained responses (sum of outputs = 1) in JMP?

I often need to model continuous response variables that represent proportions across categories, where the responses for each sample must sum to 1 (e.g., P1=10%, P2=25%, P3=35%, P4=30%).
In Python, I use a softmax output layer to enforce the sum-to-one constraint. How can I build such models in JMP—either linear or neural network—while ensuring the sum of the predicted responses equals 1?Is there ...

  • Residuals Query

Hi, I'm currently working on some data that we are trying to fit a curve to, to create a formula that will allow us to extrapolate the data. None of the models were fitting well as they all had very high AIC and BIC values, so transformed my data using a log function. I then went back into the fit curve section and found a mechanical growth model works well as it produced very good AIC and BIC val...

  • Weibull DOE (Regression)

Hello Everybody, recently im working using RSM for Weibull Response, I did the model using Fit Parametric Survival and I have parameters estimates results.  The issue is about, the parameters for polynomial regression is based on codec units (-1,1).
There some way to get this parameters on uncoded units (reals levels), on this kind of reports?

Attached small pic about the results/

  • How to correctly compute Odds Ratios from a Binomial Logit Generalized Linear Mixed Model (GLMM) in JMP Pro?

I am fitting a Binomial Logit Generalized Linear Mixed Model (GLMM) in JMP Pro 18, with: binary outcome (1 = event, 0 = no event), several categorical predictors (factors), and a random intercept for subject ID to account for repeated measures / clustering. The model converges and produces a table of Fixed Effects Parameter Estimates, which includes: Estimate (β) Standard Error Lower / Uppe...

  • Windows 11 > JMP 17.2 > Fit Model > Contrasts > How to Build a Contrast Matrix with More Columns than Conditions?

Hi JMP Community, When building contrasts in a Regular Least Squares Fit Model analysis, the number of columns (i.e., discrete contrasts) is limited to the number of conditions (i.e., number of items produced by the combinations of all parameters). In many cases, I'd like to create more contrasts than conditions (i.e., comparisons of multiple pairs of factor combinations)  Example: VAR1 = A, B, C ...
