Partition maximum inputs
Is there a maximum number of inputs that a Partition Tree can handle? Note: using version 19.

Suppose I use a custom design to create an experiment and set the response goal to “maximize,” with only an upper limit specified as 7. Based on this, an experimental data table is generated, and I fill in response values, all of which are greater than 7. After fitting a model, in the Prediction Profiler, the desirability settings for the response show default values: a high value of 7, a middle v...
I need help understanding how to reference framebox's axis from within graphics script.
Here's what I have now:
Names Default To Here( 1 );
dt = Open( "$SAMPLE_DATA/Big Class.jmp" );
ob_group = Outline Box( "Testing Handles: " || (dt << Get Name) );
nw = New Window( (dt << get name), ob_group );
GB_wHandle = Function( {dt, X_parameter, Y_Parameter, groupByColumnString},
groupByColumn = Column( ...
Always mystified by how to use Eval Expr correctly. I have this pop up that asks for a wildcard column name selection and assigns it as "Divider"
nw = New Window( "Does the Data Contain Experimental Cells?",
<<Modal,
V List Box(
Align( "right" ),
H List Box(
Panel Box( "Dividing Column", clb = Filter Col Selector( dt, all ) ),
Panel Box( "Select Cell Identification Column",
Lineup...
Hi
I’m trying to create a scatter plot in Graph Builder with:
X = RchY = CovGroup = LOT_WF
What I want is:
For each LOT_WF, a single point representing
(median(Rch), median(Cov))
So the final plot should have one point per LOT_WF, not raw data.
What I tried
Added Points element and changed Summary Statistic → MedianUsed Overlay = LOT_WF
But the result still shows scatter points or only partially a...

For categorical responses Partition has the response rates that are slightly biased away from zero to avoid having attributed probabilities of zero. I would like to know how to calcurate the biased probabilities.
I wanted to check whether anyone else is seeing performance issues with JMP v19 (specifically v19.1). I'm on an Intel Mac at the moment. A few times now, I’ve managed to get JMP into a state where it becomes extremely sluggish. Most UI interactions take on the order of 3 - 5 seconds to respond to clicks, which is clearly an issue. The machine has plenty of RAM, and I've been working with relati...

Hi, I am trying to analyze calcium transient data from cardiomyocytes. I moved to JMP because Prism cannot do a two way ANOVA on nested data but I cannot figure out how to run this analysis. I have 4 experimental groups (WT SHAM, KO SHAM, WT OVX, KO OVX) across two factors (genotype (WT/KO) and surgery (SHAM/OVX)) but I don't know how to add these variables prior to running analyses. For each anim...
Changing to JMP 19 Student Edition on macOS I noticed column snapping is activated, i.e. horizontal scroll by pixel is no longer possible. Is there any setting or workaround to bring it back?
I’m trying to calculate an appropriate PPK for data with the following criteria: Data lies between 0 and +InifinityA significant portion of the data is exactly 0, and this represents an actual true 0Has an Upper Spec limit onlyHeavily Skewed The distribution should be an appropriate distribution for the data. What’s the best way to get JMP to do this?
Hello JMP community, I have been testing Functional Data Explorer on a synthetic data set where each curve is essentially the same motif translated along the X-axis, with little intrinsic change in amplitude or shape. In this situation, my impression is that the resulting FPCA/FPC basis becomes increasingly oscillatory, and the physical interpretation becomes difficult. In other words, one simple...
