  • How do I make a histogram of a percentage of failing value Y as a function of value X

Hi, I have a set of continuous values Y for which I have a upper limit. I am interested in the percentage of failing values as a function of a second continuous value X. I was thinking of plotting this as a histogram, but I didn't find how to get JMP to create small intervals of my value X for the analysis. Do someone have a solution for this kind of problem please?

  • How to find the mean between rows by a group with missing data in a forward-looking format?

I'm running into this issue where I have two sets of datapoints across my timeline. One is collected at every point in the interval "Temperature (Celsius)", the other is collected sporadically "Residual Glucose (g/L)". When placed together in a data table, one of the columns is missing data in the interval. I attached a data table as an example but essentially looks like this: What I need is to g...

  • JSL failing in version 19 but works in 17

I just upgraded to JMP 19 from JMP 17. I have a long and complicated routine that works well when I use it in JMP 17 but fails when I try it in 19. There may be more failures but the first one I am encountering is related to selecting rows to be modified to fix known errors in the data I imported. When debugging, I can see that the Get Rows Where command is returning an empty matrix. I confirmed t...

  • PDF Reports with Logo in header

I am trying to develop a way to control PDF output of report data.  I would like to have formatting control of the header and footer, and the ability to embed a logo.  Any thoughts on how to approach this?

  • It's unexpected that the file merging speed of JMP Pro 14 is so much faster than that of JMP Pro 18

  • How Replicates are Treated in the Functional Data Explorer

Hello, I have functional data I have entered into the functional data explorer. I have three biological replicates of absorbance data over time, which shows the growth of an organism in triplicate over time using an absorbance measure. This is dense data, and I have measurements in each replicate every 30 minutes for 24 hours. This means for a given organism, I have three absorbance measurements b...

  • How to fit a dataset into a theoretical distribution?

I want to fit a dataset into a theoretical distribution to see the best-fit modes. I tried Analyse > Distribution > Continuous Fit > Fit all. I can get the AIC and BIC values, but not the Anderson–Darling values. Essentially, I want to produce a table like the one below. Can anyone help? Distribution Anderson–Darling AICc BIC Rank Lognormal 0.78 552.1 556.8 1 Gamma 1.04 556.9 561.5 ...

  • Graph builder bins

In Graph Builder, when a continuous variable is used as Group X with Levels(6) (e.g. Group X(:Mean rank, Levels(6))), how are the interval boundaries determined? They appear not to be equal-width or equal-frequency bins. Is the algorithm documented anywhere? I'm preparing a manuscript and would like to describe accurately how Group X intervals are generated. I understand that Graph Builder automat...

  • SPC: Run test 2

The customised run test2, can be customised from 7 to 11, say you set it to 7 and you have 7 + another 11 points all below the centerline why does the process screen function.  Why does it

    1) Record 11 as the number of alarms, where in fact there is only 1 single stepchange
    2) Surely it shoud just record 1, as there is only 1 stepchange that affect 7+11 points.  You are not goin to ivestigate all 18...

  • JMP Live Event Queue Freeze - Jobs Stalling and Event Queue Backlog

Our company uses JMP Live, version 19.0.2 We make use of JMP Live's event scheduler to automatically refresh reports via SQL queries. Typically our data refresh jobs <1 minute to complete with a handful that take 2-3 minutes at most.  However, at least once a week, our scheduled refresh pool becomes "stuck". Data refreshes and reports which usually take seconds to complete instead stay active in t...

  • JMP Live Local Data Filter Auto Update off by default?

I've published a JMP Live report and realized the Auto-Update is true/on by default in Local Data Filter. Is there an option to turn that off by default?? This will be very helpful as I don't have to uncheck it every time I load the report. When multi-selecting the filters, I often realize after selecting first option since it tries to re-load the entire report and it takes time to reload with lar...

  • Graph Builder line plot: Loss of detail at smaller frame sizes

When graphing line plots at smaller frame sizes, data points seem to be omitted or summarised and detail lost. Attached are screenshots from the same measurement graphed four times, each time halving frame size, exported to PDF and then scaled up to the same height. As PDF is vector-based, the graphs should be scaled versions of each other, like the text of the axis title, but clearly they are not...
