  • Slope and Intercept Collector error "matrix must be non-singular in access or evaluation of 'Inv' , Inv/*###*/(x` * x)"

HI all,I have a question about an error I'm getting when using @stan_koprowski's slope and intercept add-in. I've posted my question on the add-in's thread but due to the much lower exposure compared to discussion posts, I thought that it might be a good idea to ask here as well. I made a mock data table with three groups and several observations in each group. When I run the add-in I am getting t...

  • Set constraint of two factors in Custom DOE

I have 5 continuous factors. The sum of the values of 2 factors always has to be 100. Should I only enter 1 of these 2 factors in the design and constrain it in the range of 0-100? Or is there a way to add both factors and set a constraint for their sum to be 100 in Custom DOE?

  • How to combinate two data tables and keep the original match and unmatched rows?

Hi,I have two data tables (f1 and f2). I like to compare f1 with f2 and create a new table f3 so that f3 merges the two tables with a match column. If any row is not matched, include the matched and not matched rows. I have attached data table f1 and f2 and what I like to have for data table f3. I have JMP PRO 15. I appreciate your help here. ThanksAdam

  • What's the deal with leading underscores precisely?

I realize (yet again) that this is a noob question, but I don't find it adequately answered in the Scripting Index. As regards the use of two leading underscores, the Scripting Index is clear: To hide (or protect) a global variable, put two underscores (__) before the name. (Also something explained by Mauro Gerber during the last Scripter's Club session.)When it comes to single leading underscore...

  • C Stack Usage Error When Sending Code to R

Hello, I'm trying to invoke some commands in R using the R Submit function in JSL and am getting the error below. Is this an issue with JMP17 and R integration? It only happens when I invoke a specific package using JSL so it's hard for others to replicate w/o installing R and the package as well. I'm using JMP 17.0 and R 4.2.0. Never saw this error with JMP 16. "Error: C stack usage 4123778 is to...

  • How to fix X Axis Settings for Operating Characteristic Curves

I'm playing around with different scenarios on an Operating Characteristic curve in which the fraction defective is very small (screen shot below).  Every time I run a scenario, the x-axis automatically changes to a range that is way too wide to be useful and I have to change it back manually. Is there a way to make the x-axis setting constant? (I'm using Jmp Pro 16.1)Thanks!

  • Response Screening Effect Size - logistic

Related to the previous post How to get "Effect size" column with Response Screening functionality , I am also wondering how effect size in the response screening platform is calculated, specifically for categorical Y vs continuous X.  JMP help shows:  "When Y is categorical and X is continuous, the effect size is the square root of the average ChiSquare value for the whole model test."  Running b...

  • Linear mixed model not showing "Random Effect" noise in simulator/monte carlo

I have fit a Mixed Model via the Fit Model platform in JMP Pro. When opening up the 'Prediction Profiler', and inspecting the Profiler itself, I can see the as expected predicted response and its as expected confidence interval in [], which reflects the variation due to the Random Effects I have fit.  However, when I run the 'Simulator' with equal experimental variables as above, and after adding ...
