Improved Column Switcher Utility Between Numeric and Character Data

I've noticed even in the Distribution platform that if I enable a Column Switcher between Numeric and Character columns, JMP is not a fan. When going from the Numeric to Character columns a big X appears and states "Column must be numeric. No data to analyze."

I would assume this can be fixed. I know that the type of output and desired statistics are of a mixed mode, but should be within the possibilities of JMP.

Also of note - if a column is Nominal but Continuous, JMP erroneously assesses the data as if it were Numeric.
