mixture design (DOE) with mixture components with different units

I would like to apply a mixture design to a completly different field: robotics. I have a model that uses three variables (mixture components) that generates different behaviors in the robot. If the units of my variables or mixture components are: N (Newton->force), N and N ms, can I still use a mixture design?

Re: mixture design (DOE) with mixture components with different units

I don’t see the constraint. A mixture design is a mixture because the factors must add up to a certain value, usually one. Without the constraint you cannot apply a mixture design. Why are you forcing a mixture situation?
