Data filter script 'find' as default

I'm scripting a datafilter for a column containg hundreds of IDs. It is possible to scroll down and click on the specific ID but the users like the 'find' option you can add.

Is it possible to add the 'find' as default to the data filter through scripting?

Re: Data filter script 'find' as default

I believe this example gets you where you want to go.  It doesn't display the find box, but it scrolls you down to the preferred selection and selects it;

Names Default To Here( 1 );

dt = Open( "$SAMPLE_DATA/Big Class.jmp" );

obj = dt << Data Filter(

   Add( Filter Columns( :Name ) )

);

Wait( 1 );

obj << (Filter Column( :Name ) <<

Where( :Name == "JAMES" ));

Re: Data filter script 'find' as default

Hi Jim

Thanks for the answer.

I does not however solve my issue. When the users open the interface I have built it is different IDs they want to search for every time, therefore it needs to be dynamic. That's why it would be nice to have the 'find' option already there when they run the script.

Re: Data filter script 'find' as default

My error.....I read your original question as "Is It Possible", rather than the statement you made, "It Is Possible".

I searched the Scripting Index and could not find any command to open the Find option in the Data Filter.
